25 shots, 13 on target.

Shoddy defending let us down yet again that day.

Exactly!

Was just about to say the same thing. How we never won that game is beyond me. We had something like 24 shots and their goal led a charmed life.

Hope we play like that again. We will murder them.

My memory of the night isn't as fresh as it was, but whenever I think back to that game it generates a strong dislike for Chris Dunn. Fair?

I guess 5K available in the away stand as i can't see Crewe bringing more than 1K. So with all that in mind i guess around 15/16K sold already.

This guy is forgetting SP was our manager then. Now we have Mowbray.

GEORGE Ray says Crewe Alex will make Coventry City’s plan to generate an intimidating atmosphere at the Ricoh Arena backfire on Saturday.

The Sky Blues have slashed ticket prices in the hope of swelling home support for the game between two sides still in danger near the foot of League One.

Adults will get in for £10 instead of £22, concessions are £5 rather than £15, and some juniors will gain entry for as little as £2.

It’s a similar ploy to the one Coventry used for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy semi-final first leg between the clubs two years ago.

Then, more than 30,000 people created a wall of noise.

But that day, Crewe ran out 3-0 winners. Now defender Ray, 21, is eying a repeat performance.

“I remember it, it was a full house,” he said.

“As you saw, it doesn’t always work in your favour.

“If you are not performing the crowd can get on your back and you can end up playing worse.

“Hopefully we can use it to our advantage.

“When we go to these big places we seem to perform better. It must just get everyone going that little bit more.”

He's also forgetting that this season they have lost 3-0 at Bristol, 5-1 at Preston, 2-0 at Sheff Utd and 6-1 at MK Dons.

They did. The 2-0 defeat was at Bramall Lane in the FA Cup.

So my dislike for Chris Dunn, based on those highlights, is justified!

Coventry City have sold just under ten thousand tickets for tomorrow's final home game of the season with Crewe Alexandra.
Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and you can pay on the day.

Poor turnout.

Just shows it isn't about the price at all.

Ten thousand? Come on. There are apparently thousands upon thousands of people who support the club and they need you now.

Be a few pay on the gate too I suspect with £10 cash turnstiles. Not a bad turnout in the big scheme of things

Very poor and very true. However.......... Surely that isn't including corporate because that is completely sold out in the lower tier and less than 50 tickets left on the upper tier. I'm not sure how many in total that is but it must be at least 3K? If it is then p1ss poor!

i would suggest

10000 sold
1500 crewe
another 1500 to sell

so would expect 13000

Over the long run, that is not economical, as turnover is greater with only 8000 there at £20 a pop
however - sometimes you need to speculate to rebuild the fan base

Any less than 15,000 is poor. Some city fans have let this club down if they can't be bothered to go for that price.

Obviously some have reasons, but those who are sitting in the pub all Saturday should make an effort to go.

In the context of our current situation and recent gates, 14,000 would be good - better than I'd expected.

To me the cost don't matter as I wont spend a penny more until I see sisu spending money on the team or when they leave our club.

What difference is it going to make? I stood on the hill and did not pay for a ticket once through them, but I was one of thousands doing so.

Time to move on and support the team, and hope, like many of us, that SISU eventually leave.

Great news. Hopefully plenty more will be encouraged to walk up now. Can't make it myself and I'm gutted.
