He also signed Webster, granted, I've only seen him 5 or 6 times, but hes been woeful and the weakest link.

Why did he sign slagner? Hes said himself hes not ready, so why are we wasting what little funds with have on a development player?

Webster has been great recently. Him and Willis are making a good prtnership at CB.

Reality check time imo.

We start on -10, playing a full season of away games under a transfer embargo with a threadbare squad lacking any sort of depth.

Avoiding relegation would be the equivalent to winning the Champions League.

maybe achieving play offs, not winning champions league

Congratulating sisu on hiring Pressley? He's done a decent job but he's no jose you know. Pressley is a nobody in the football world.

Relative to Jose he is. All managers have to start somewhere. He is doing an excellent job with the resources he has.

Thomas & Fleck deserve blame too, both far too light weight. Been saying this for weeks but we need a Brown type midfielder to pick up a booking on the half way line when needed.

Maybe if he can get anyone in - we see a difference. Trouble is that our overall predicament makes us somewhat unattractive to many.

agreed :( but putting the sky blue glasses down, if I was an out of favour player, I wouldn't mind going to CCFC as they are playing good football atm, but no player would risk not being payed etc...

so a 2-2 draw after being 2-0 up is acceptable?

Not acceptable but understandable.

It's a young, small and inexperienced squad and unfortunately displays and results like this are part of the learning curve. Because of the situation created by sisu they are having to learn in the first team instead of the reserves.

An individual switched off, something to do with a throw in, and Pressley feels let down. Who was this and what did he do?

I thought they said at the time in the match that it was Adams who had switched off but they are saying now it could have been Moussa

Same as on here, I don't remember anybody congratulating SISU on hiring Pressley or giving him the funds to sign Maguire on loan after the MK dons game but a bad result and it is all their fault...

In fact a lot of the people who come on to go mad after a bad result, you don't see them if we win ;)

There was a fair few (including me) after the transfer window closed when we didn't get rid of the main men, many were on here saying "credit where credit is due".

Regarding Pressley, there is an entire thread about Wagott picking Robins and Pressley.

Having said this, we have the smallest squad we have had in my lifetime. 2 strikers are out and we have to put Jordan Clarke up front.

So, apart from the 2 top scorers in the League it was our normal team.

How are Man Utd doing with RVP and Rooney, West Ham without Carroll etc

A draw was decent today, just a shame it feels like a defeat

Under the circumstances it's not a dreadful result. We have a young and thin squad and now with injuries we are badly weakened. There's a long way to go yet but my guess is that we won't quite make play offs but we won't be far away and that with 10 points deducted still points to some exceptional management.
I'm starting to wonder where it will leave us if we did get promoted as 'Sixfields' is just not adequate for the 'Championship', fans of the likes of Leeds, Leicester, Forest etc would be buying in all over the ground as their allocation would be so small and then watch the fireworks.

So one player is to blame for us losing thought it was a team game? What were the other 10 doing.

That will do his morale a world of good!!!

Apart from missing our two top strikers and having a defender and a midfielder up top, do you mean?

but apart from clarke and wilson, we had our normal team?

good performance first half, all midfield kept giving the ball away second half. Good effort from Jordan Clarke up front and Jordan Willis very solid.

Not saying its right, but surely its the one time squad size does play a part. A lot of games in a small space if time and a team running out of legs in the end ?

Indeed and very little in the way of options on the bench to make any changes.

Yeah, looked like Moussa from where I was sitting. I have to say he was pretty ineffective for most of the game, but to be fair he was playing well out of position.

Saying that, you ought to see the Crawley squad list. It's tiny.
