Coventry v southampton boycott (1 Viewer)

I think if everyone on here and GMK etc who is in favour of the boycott printed of 50 or 100 leaflets and gave them out in the area where they sit on Saturday it would start to get the message across. What is needed is some common wording as to what we want to happen, why and what we hope to achieve. I would suggest something like:

PROPOSED BOYCOTT OF FA CUP TIE V SOUTHAMPTON
MANY FANS HAVE AGREED THAT ACTION IS NEEDED TO BRING PRESSURE ON SISU
AND GAIN NATIONAL PRESS ATTENTION TO OUR CLUBS PLIGHT
WE ARE URGING ANYBODY WHO WAS THINKING OF BUYING A TICKET FOR THE FA CUP TIE AGAINST
SOUTHAMPTON NOT TO DO SO. PLEASE JOIN US AND BOYCOTT THIS GAME. STARVING THESE VULTURES OF MONEY.
THE SIGHT OF AN EMPTY STADIUM WILL GAIN NATIONAL PUBLICITY, TARNISH SISU'S REPUTATION AND MAKE THEM
REALISE JUST HOW STRONGLY WE FEEL ABOUT THEIR KILLING OF OUR CLUB.
HELP GET SISU OUT - BOYCOTT THE SOUTHAMPTON GAME
PLAY UP SKY BLUES

Sure someone can do better but the point is we need one message and "instruction" otherwise it will be a mess and a non-event and SISU will just laugh at us even harder

I'm not sure a Coventry match with low attendance would raise national publicity (or even surprise), there'd need to be some accompaniment.

Don't think you can put hoffmans bidders in there as no-one knows if he is or not and he may not like his name on any kind of boycott leaflet, just in case of legality reasons I would be very careful putting anyones name on any kind of protest leaflet.
Just an observation.

Right. No casual apathetic boycotting by shirking in the Casino Bar, let's do this properly. Rain or shine, snow or hail looking for 5 like minded to help carry a sky blue coffin, to walk around the Ricoh during the game. We'll need drummers to set out a slow mournful beat, join the cortège and dress in black, grim reapers and zombie costumes welcome. Our Club is Dying. Let's make sure everyone knows. It's suitably morbid and dark without being aggressive that we might even put people off coming to games. I'm up for bodging a plywood coffin up but If anyone has better skills get in the shed now and send me a quote for your costs.

Song for Saturday to print on the reverse:

Oh when the Saints
Go marching in
Oh when the Saints go marching in
We'll be stood
Outside the Ricoh
F*ck off SISU we're not going in

I think we should all pile in two minutes before the final whistle and then refuse to move

Havent read all of this thread, so apologies if it's already been suggested. Wouldn't it be better to go to the game, and stay in the concourse for the first 10 minutes, then "arrive" en masse? That would be more noticeable as you would get more participation I would have thought.

So when Kevin Monks said he couldn't post anything promoting the boycott, what he actually meant was "i'll post something convincing people NOT to boycott".

Thanks a bunch.

His point summed up is basically "who cares what league and position we're in as long as we've got football to watch". Pathetic.

I've had run ins with him in the past over tripe he's posted - but I always thought he'd fight against SISU.

Looks like he's been got to.

I don't think its too anti and he does have a good point about it being properly organized, lead and communicated so it has maximum impact. Maybe anyone interested in getting together and doing just this should meet up prior to Saturday match and agree a coordinated strategy, have a proper spokesman etc. I would be up for meeting up with others and make sure this doesn't just fizzle out but has a real effect.

There's little logic in the notion that something is either black or white in such a manner. If he doesn't plan to throw his support behind a boycott it doesn't mean he's been 'got to' or that he's gorging on prawn sandwiches with his SISU chums or anything of that kind. I'm not a fan of him or his terrible site, but he's within his rights to hold a personal view on one part of this whole saga without it defining his entire stance.

If Brinners ego show, brings about new and better owners then whats your problem?

But it's not doing anything, he's held in such high regard by the bods at SISU HQ, they told him to "f**k off".
I'd rather let the money men have their meetings, discuss things between themselves and then come to some sort of agreement if possible. Brinner is the equivalent of a fly that needs swatting away.

Please Kuklinski, inform us of what actions you would take to get rid of SISU?

To start with we need a person/s with the finances in place to take over, and thus far this has not happened. We've had plenty of talk in the media from Hoffman (thankfully this appears to have been a lesson learned). If a credible bid isn't on the table, and this is the crux of the problem, then even if SISU do walk away, who takes over? It's okay sitting here demanding SISU Out, but as it is there is not a credible bid with proof of finance for it to be taken seriously.

If this is true then he is annoying and if we can annoy SISU just a little then surely it's a good thing?

SISU are a consortium of high powered and ruthless businessmen, and they will see him as a minor irritant at best, but certainly not somebody who will effect their business decisions. If SISU do leave, it will be for their own reasons, certainly not because of a vain egotistical supporter who wants his face in the local & National media.

He reminds me of that other mug who loved the sound of his own voice and wanted to be Mr CCFC a few years back, Dominic Ostrovsky, or however you spell it. I support CCFC, not the egos with their own agendas.

Without being on the inside, how do you know that there has not been a credible bid? You seem to have taken the stance that there is not a bid, with no evidence of this at all. As far as I'm aware you only know what has been reported in the media and that is Hoffman saying he has put a bid in and SISU saying he hasn't. Of this you seem to have come to the conclusion that there is no bid?
