Might be that pre-contract agreement has been signed but we couldn't spare the cash to sign him outright and/or this way just makes more business sense.

The discontent MR hinted at a couple of weeks ago.

This is a strong hint he wanted to including crying off sick. Shame to leave on these terms. But understand the lad needs game time. Good luck.

It's not really deflating. There's a lot more players I'd be far more gutted about losing than Stevenson.

So at the moment, three in this window (all attacking players where we’ve needed strengthening), one out (who wasn’t a regular starter for us) and we still have hold of Bayliss, Willis and all others. Not a bad window if it stays like that.

Off to bed, hopefully it’ll be the same scenario when I wake up in the morning!
