I guess it reflects a change in society as much as anything. Sunday League Teams were often connected to pubs, which people simply don't frequent like they did previously, and many of which that simply don't exist anymore.

Yep. I played for a social club my entire time in Sunday league and it’s gone. Been knocked down and student Comm built in its place.

During my time though and I’m talking 14 years ago, it was declining then. Pitch fees and subs were a nightmare
