5 points to Cov then!!

Any idea where the new ‘shop’ is? Is it the portacabin of years gone by?

Won 31-29
Jaded by the fact they scored 2 tries in injury time.
Cov’s fitness and willingness to play expansive rugby shone through!
Doncaster good defensively but horrible side played a weak ref very well.

Quarters confirmed, first away win of the season next week (Nottingham win tomorrow pending) will see a home quarters!

Also heard today the 4G is going down in April (after last game) & new cowshed is being built opposite the current main stand.

Saturday’s highlights!

My highlight was Knox’s pens!
He could have stuck them over from inside his own half!

Lol. I was expecting the first one to hit the corner flag (I've seen one or two of his previous longer training efforts, but not recently) but respect - he was spot on, and yes, they went over with plenty to spare and plum middle.

Cov unchanged starting XV. Nutley for Tolmie on the bench.
Continuity for once.

Really tempted by the Nottingham away fixture on Sunday ?! Thing is I do like to go to games with my teams in with a chance ?! What do the experts on this thread think for this one ?! I know we just can't win away but surely it has to happen sometime ? It is now back to a League fixture isn't it ?!

Kneeza’s the expert....
But if I can chuck my view in, Cov’s away form garbage, I would be surprised if the ducks broken here as Nottingham 6 league wins on the bounce before the break, conditions looks wet, so I’d go for a home win by 15+ points

in years gone by I have followed Coventry away from home, seen them get absolutely pummelled away to Exeter but the hospitality you get as an "away fan" is top notch to the point the games and result is secondary

Expert? Don't kid yourself

Anyway, I have better things to do than travel to Nottingham on a Sunday and watch Cov get humiliated again...

Jake Sharp released never settled, guess it frees up a few quid as he was one of the summers ‘marquee’ signings!

Was more tounge in cheek, well it’ll give Cov a chance to get used to their surrounding down there before the league game a couple of weeks later!

Back to the league today away at Nottingham today, before the cup break they’d won 6 on the bounce. Don’t think our away duck will be broken today strong side and bench for Cov though, but I’m going 30-18 defeat.

There's always a chance mate. There's a lot of points in this Cov team, but they've got to get on the front foot and cut out the silly errors.

Nottingham will be favourites, but don't rule out a Cov win. If you can make it I'm sure you'll have a good time regardless, I hear they'll be selling beer.

I fancy Cov’s chances more if it stays dry!
Such a jekyl and Hyde side when it’s a wet day in comparison to dry conditions this season!

For those there why did Knox not have a go for the win from the pen at the end? Sounded from commentary similar to where he got the 2 v Donny from.

Was it too far out? Heard he put one wide from half way first half but he had the distance.

According to someone who was there, we had a penalty try disallowed when the advancing Cov maul was brought down on the line, and one of theirs was yellow carded for it. How the feck does that stack up?
Still, two points is a step in the right direction. Watch 'em go now.

Yeah CWR were bemused by that, shame we couldn’t get the away win monkey off our back, hopefully it’ll come in the televised game at Bedford at the end of January!

Looking forward to this Saturday a home game & a league game to boot, just the 11 weeks since the last one!

3 weeks off so should be a refreshed squad v Donny, 2 home games on the bounce Doncaster this week/Cornish pirates next, Think we’ll get 5 points this Saturday but a defeat may be on the cards v CP but win both you’d think we’ll be a big leap nearer safety.

On a side note the ringfencing and changing to the prem seems to be picking up pace, this really cannot happen!

Don’t really follow rugby but would love Cov to get to the top league and play the insects in the same league. Let’s see the tourist fans squirm at watching ‘top class rugby’ at that stage!

Side for tomorrow-
Looks bloody strong! Likes of Lewis unlucky to be missing out on the squad all together!
Guessing Junior B still injured?
The fact that our 2 season starters at centre are missing but you’d have to say on form Fenner & Knox deservedly play.
Looks a dry day tomorrow so I’m going to go for Cov to run them off the park 10 point win with the bonus point....

Junior's fine afaik. Just rotation; picking the best available squad.
We could do with a good five-pointer, with Scottish having won tonight and closing the gap on us.
Looking bad for Hartpury after that. Wonder how long before Glaws roll out their better second-string players in an attempt to stop the rot?
