I am not preaching to anybody.I hope more people do go to games whether it is Sixfields or Barnsley, not for SISU's benefit but for the fans own benefit of doing something they enjoy.
I am not sure how that is too direct with a campaign called "not one penny more"?
So you believe that if Sky saw a big drop off in subscriptions / viewing figures they would still pay the same amount when the rights are due for renewal?
I can't truly enjoy it with the situation as it is. So for the moment I've chosen to support other local football & have been to a few Nuneaton, Sphinx & Cov Utd games.
Anyone who doesn't accept that on some level they are facilitating the move away from the Ricoh by going to sixfields is either deluded or in denial. They are putting their own personal enjoyment of watching the team play (as everyone would prefer to be doing), over the bigger cause.
That being said, they have absolutely every right to do so. Shame though....really undermines the efforts of those who are making such a sacrifice in an attempt to save their club from the evil clutches of an apathetic hedge fund.
I am surprised that the people who take NOPM so seriously are the ones that don't believe in it. The NOPM haters need to chill out.
Like I said I support NOPM but I am going to Barnsley. Shoot me if you want
£7.50 (or whatever the true value is) of my ticket value may go to them, but I have got over that, so I suggest others do the same?
So when the tickets are £9 at Sixfields there is not much difference is there?

I assume you think the same of those going to Barnsley?
Surely all you can say that you only support not going to Sixfields. I won't go to Sixfields but I am going to Barnsley. I don't support NOPM. I also bought a hat to keep my ears warm at the game from the club shop.
Yes I support not going to sixfields. I also wouldn't buy anything from the club shop. Does it matter whether I want to brand that as NOPM or GCBR or KCIC or WANK-ME-OFF? No, not really.
You may as well open up to the club shop too. They will make far less off that than your ticket to Barnsley.
Your clutching at straws and you know it. Perhaps its guilt.
This whole NOPM thing is far from simple, you would think Not One Penny More just involves not giving them any money
You'd think being a city fan and wanting the club back in Coventry would mean you'd stay away from sixfields....
It probably would if there was any proof to say that by staying away the club would come back.

The real issue here is that chomps are now 20p, outrageous! Thats what Quantitative easing does for you ladies and gents!

I don't really see why those who are against NOPM get so worked up about it. I don't go to Sixfields as I feel doing so endorses the club being moved out of Coventry. I also feel that the less money SISU receive the less likely they are to stick it out so for that reason I do not purchase any CCFC merchandise, haven't subscribed to Sky Blues Player and don't attend away cup games. Not everyone who doesn't go to Sixfields does so because of NOPM, some simply can't get there (and I think the club have done a terrible job making attendance easy for groups such as the elderly who may struggle to get to games themselves), some don't go as they don't think we should be there, some support NOPM and I'm sure some just can't be bothered with the hassle of going to home games that far away.
Do I support NOPM? I guess so but I have never viewed it as the sort of thing you had to pledge allegiance to and promise to abide by a set of rules. If people want to go to Barnsley fine. I would prefer if less people went to Sixfields but everyone has the right to make their own choice. Personally, although I don't agree with them, I have less problem with those who go to Sixfields because they feel the blame lies with ACL / CCC or are pro-SISU than those who use the 'i just want to see us play' as a reason. I'm sure all those attending want to see us play but we're sacrificing that as it is pretty much the only form of protest left open to us. My personal feeling is that those that attend on that basis are just being selfish and potentially doing more harm than good but saying that it's their decision and I've never had an argument with any Sixfields attendees or told them they shouldn't attend.
It probably would if there was any proof to say that by staying away the club would come back.
Then fair play for you for not having a go with what people choose, it is more aimed at the people who shout people down for going to games and buying shirts but are straight on the coach to Barnsley. Apologies for it being so "general".
i'll never step foot in the shop either, again it smacks of insult to us fans. you can have a shop in the city but you cant have the team.
I set foot in the shop the other day, as I wanted to pop into Maplins (which is next door) anyway. I didn't buy anything in the shop, but I did notice it had about 1/3 the customers Maplins had.
