I agree you have , any team that has 2 of their best midfielders out will always have the potential to falter , especially today where they were so big and powerful in parts , added ro a couple other players not being at their best its just great weve come through with 3 points isnt it ?
Yes frustrating we couldn't get that extra cm in.

Hopefully with Eccles back we revert to a midfield of him allen and grimes for the next few

The BBC report:
The visitors did pull one back from the penalty spot on 68 minutes via Imran Louza but Coventry coasted to a sixth win on the trot to extend their lead to four points at the top of the table before the afternoon kick-offs.

We were the worse team even 11v10 lol, I’m just discussing what happened.

Whenever BTA has played in the 10 we have looked worrying and lacked control of the game, I don’t think we should do it again.
I love BTA especially atm but when he plays as a ten it’s more as a second striker.

Dont think hes good there for when trying to control games. Not sure who’d play instead but would be tempted next match to put Eccles in the ten and BTA instead of EMC

Superb superb result

I still think we need to play 3 actual midfielders

EMC isn’t doing enough at the moment

but don’t want that to overshadow a great 3 points

In fairness they are 4th and 5th choice midfielder .. how many teams in the top 6 are playing many games without 2 of their starting midfielders

They’re first choice reserves. And overplaying others because we haven’t got the ability to rest them is part of what leads to the injuries.

Expectations on here have gone through the roof. 3-1 and yet still moaning about 'bad' performance. Do people honestly think a team plays well EVERY single game in a whole season?

The main thing is - another 3 points, still unbeaten, top of the league and this is without 2 of the best midfielders in this division not playing for us. Happy days, great weekend again. Let's move on to the next game.

Well for the most part we did coast the second half .. we were hardly backs to the wall , a. Neutral input is good as you can see some fans have taken tgat second half quite badly

calling a game where we didn’t play well exactly that is not increasing expectations

Winning, but not playing well aren’t mutually exclusivr

Not sure thats true after 11 games , both injuries have happened in training too .

Fact is weve been unlucky havent we .. adding 1 more is obviously ideal but even then could get another injury

Allen and eccles are not terrible players and have both been heaviy involved in playoff reaching teams

They’re both sort of 8s. Neither is really a six or a ten and it means we’re stuck playing people out of position if Rudi or Grimes is out.

I could have been a girl if i wasnt a boy mate

People sometimes seem to use if and buts in favour. The tension was palpable in that period of the first half. Lampard looked rattled and even quite animated in the second half.

Like I said, it’s worth the same points. But we can’t go switching off regardless of score line.

Thought Watford were the best team we've played all season and with a bit better luck in front of goal they could have scored 4 or 5 today quite easily. We were clinical though, looked like a promotion winning side, not at our best today but swept them a side.

Watford were only good because we let them be good. We didn't break sweat and kept the ball in their half for - quite literally - minutes at a time. Judge us when we're not 3 goals to the good
