What a strange game. It felt like a little complacency set in there for a while, but a win is win, another 3 points on the board is all that matters.
Last night shows going 2-0 up doesn't mean anything, we aren't going to bowl teams over every week, but again we got the job done.
To do it without 2 of our most vital players deserves credit in itself. I feel that those are the type of games we would have lost early on last season.
Hopefully Torp will be back next week and Rudi isn't far away now, thankfully.
Rushworth MOTM.

Well for the most part we did coast the second half .. we were hardly backs to the wall , a. Neutral input is good as you can see some fans have taken tgat second half quite badly
We just saw the game out

It was fine to let Watford have the ball. I think we were trying to just pick them off on the break in that 2nd 45.

It might have looked poor, but we did what we needed to do and saw the game out. That's all that matters.

3 goals, 3 points.

Well happy

A midfield of Allen and Eccles isn’t good enough at this level. We’ve needed a CM for years and we still need one possibly two.

We just won so that’s a rather nonsense comment.

Neither are likely to be in a starting 3 if all are fit. We aren’t recruiting established players at this level to sit in the bench

Another good win. Clinical going forwards but we’ve been riding our luck at the back a bit lately so wasn’t surprised when they scored. Rushworth excellent though.

Watford were the best attacking team I’ve seen against us this season….loose at the back but very dangerous going forward

Torp and Rudoni out and we still score 3. Got to be happy with that. Every player contributing at the moment.

I sensed a death wish coming my way earlier just for suggesting Eccles wasn't fully fit

Very weird game. Almost as if the early goals made us complacent rather than encouraging us.

Could have been about four all!

We did get exposed as we were effectively playing 4 2 4 and in the first half they cut us open too much and the keeper had to make key saves.

We still scored 3 goals in the first half, had an offside goal and Wright would have converted if he wasn’t hauled down

Allen is really a 5th choice midfielder but managed to compete in a 2 man midfield.

We went down several gears in the second half but what do people expect? We’ve got injuries and really it was a training session for us which is far more useful than getting injuries trying to get more.

How anyone could be negative is a bit ridiculous

Spot on. Heard Oggy on way home saying first half was best he’d seen for a while (both teams) and have to agree. Great to watch

First and foremost, I was very impressed with Watford today, especially in the second half; you would never have guessed they were the ones who had a man sent off. I don't know whether it's how immaculately drilled we are going forward meaning that we're not accustomed to defending against a team chasing a result, or complacency, or what but it was a fucking weird atmosphere in the second half.

Rushworth would have been my MOTM if it wasn't for the penalty, which for me was clumsy and basically every referee in the country would give it. Was also massively impressed with Sakamoto, Kitching, Allen, MVE and Grimes.

It's gotten to the point where wins are kind of routine and it's difficult to talk about them, hasn't it?

I also went to the fanzone for the first time today and really enjoyed it. The effort, time and expense that's gone into making the CBS a great place to be at cannot be overstated, the amount of improvements in a short time is fantastic. Just a great time to be a CCFC fan and long may it continue!

Just because we won does not mean we can't critique the day.
There are obvious drop offs the last couple of games, but we have been too good overall regardless.
Momentum, and continued motivation are required when the team look as if they may afterall be a little vunerable as injuries, a touch of over confidence, complacency set in. That's when a coache's job is vital, and we find a way to win ugly, or have that bit of luck as we grind our way through a drop in performance levels. Its to be expected, we will lose at some point. It will be how we lose and come back after.
Its how you find your way out of it that counts. A couple of games where we have won, not been at our best, so now we get back on it again, and there's no better motivation than the Wrexham game to put a cork in their Hollywood champagne.

I can’t have been the only one to miss the third goal and the sending off by nipping down for a pint?

Actually didn’t realise they only had 10 men until about 5 mins into the second half and that was only coz my mate messaged me.

Strange game. Rushworth exceptional. Felt a bit sorry for their 10 as the rest of his teammates were nowhere near his ability. We didn’t know whether to stick or twist in the second half and ended up doing neither.

However, 3 points and still undefeated even if it was one of our poorer performances of the season.

How about blooding young Andrew's,or how about keeping the subs honest, doubt they're inspired if the team goes down a gear?

I don't know has this been mentioned already but there was a medical emergency in the ten minutes leading upto half time between Blocks 21 and 22. Is there any news on the person.

Outstanding result.
Not a great performance, but how many times have we been the wrong end of displays like that and ended up the gallant losers?

We'll need plenty of those sort of results if we're Togo up automatically

Brilliant 3 points and that is really all that matters. Clinical, put them to the sword. Rushworth kept us in the game and is really showing his value. One of the main reasons we won. 6 in 6, flying. PUSB

Watford will cause a lot of teams problems.

The crowd, second half was embarrassing. We're top and winning but I guess the players aren't giving enough.....

Though I guess "we're top of the league" was quite loud...

For all you people giving Watford a blowy, this is what they think of us!!

Come on, this is Coventry City Football Club we're talking about...

• The first club to play in both Division Three North AND Division Three South, which shows just how massive they are to span that sort of geographic area
• They used to have Jimmy Hill as chairman
• First all-seater ground in England
• Were sponsored by Talbot Cars once and allowed them to put a giant T logo on the kit
• Went 47 consecutive seasons without managing a top six finish in any division
• Won the cup in 1987 thanks to a magnificent Gary Mabbutt own goal
• Lost to Luton in a play-off final

It doesn't get much bigger than that!

As far as I'm concerned, they were just big fucking lumps and dirty fuckers who lost a game to us again. Fuck em.

3 points despite average performance. Game won by HT. difference first half was we were clinical and they were woeful in the box.
Their speed in attack opened us up so many times but Rushworth made some great saves (but silly to give away the penalty).
With Milan suspended at Wrexham at least he will be available for sheff Utd. Also it will give KKH a full 90 in Wales.
