So yeah, rode our luck.

If Watford had scored, they wouldn't have had those other chances! We barely broke sweat.

Sheff Utd are shit, not really worried about them.
They're far from shit. Just not got great confidence atm. I genuinely think theyll still finish in the top 6 this season. And Wilder coming back in has improved them and changed their form. Its the first match the season that ive had genuine thoughts about us struggling. Especially with Rudi and now Torp out the squad is getting thin and tiring. I dont expect us to roll blunts over, and id rather have MVE available than not for that game.

3 game week might have caught up a bit with us.

Shows how far we have come getting annoyed that Watford scored a from a pen.

I do think we lack a bit of something not having Torp and Rud, Some hopefully one or both back soon.

I understand people's concerns with today's performance. It was a very odd kind of game. But lets keep it sensible. Watford had a few very good opportunities, but failed to put them away. That apart, I don't recall many 'raids' on our goal?
That's not withstanding a bit of a lacklustre second half from us. Could have been so different had we not had a great start in the first 10 minutes.
Watford made it all too easy getting in behind us. They targeted DeSilva with plenty of success. But I think this is about us being too easy to penetrate. We can't always be 100% and will need some luck when not at our best. Not sure Wolfenden was comfortable. Torp is a miss of course. We have done well without Rudoni but I think we need him back asap as the likes of Eccles are the weaker links. Lets hope we reflect well and re-charge before the next one. Not at our best last couple of games, refresh and pick up the form on Friday.

Really impressed with Louza today.

Some people saying we are critical, but I'd be interested to hear lampards thoughts.
I think its fine to be critical of the performance , but some are a bit over dramatic as if wed never have poor performances .

Cracks beggining to show and deflated being a couple .. all teams have bad games

We did what was needed. Completely clinical in the first half when chances came.

Different game second half and I think the approach was smart if a little boring to watch. I think having as ex player as a manager helps because anyone who has played football knows, if you try to humilate a team, at least one and probably a few of their players will get fucked off with a real chance of one of ours then getting injuried by wreckless tackles.

I suspect FL preferred to contain the game with points in the bag, and keep everyone fit - I for one appreciate the smart approach.

I know Saddle used the term cracks, I used the term creaks which I'd suggest is a bit different. Not as free flowing as we have seen, but a good win. I think i've been pretty balanced in my views.

That clown of a Watford manager 🤡
Jumping up and down screaming waving even encroaching on to the pitch, encroaching into Lampard's area.

And Frank lampard just standing there Looking at him with his arms folded thinking what the f***..

I agree you have , any team that has 2 of their best midfielders out will always have the potential to falter , especially today where they were so big and powerful in parts , added ro a couple other players not being at their best its just great weve come through with 3 points isnt it ?

The midfield was just undercooked and there was some complacency thrown in.

That said Watford played very well, interested to see if they sustain that.

Very odd game - they carved us open more than any other team this season. There were individual standout performances from people like Rushworth and MVE, but you can point to some grim mistakes they made as well. I am convinced that this team gets promoted btw.
