Ok so now there are a few twinges of excitement...this is no ordinary game all of a sudden. I'll be driving up from London listening to Lincoln Exeter and soaking up the sense of occasion...a nice little appetiser. I'm going for a 3-1 win!

To whom? Lincoln or Exeter?

Reckon we can get odds on JMD scoring the winner from a free kick against Lincoln at Wembley and celebrating with a ssshhhhh to their fans?

Think we'll draw tonight and lose the away leg unfortunately. The recent Lincoln and Notts County games have shown how we struggle against direct, physical sides and I can't see this being much different. Hope I'm wrong.

The big crowd could be our downfall. Shouldn't be that way but usually is at the Ricoh (as opposed to Wembley!).

I’m genuinely not sure how I feel. It’s waves of nerves, excitement, anxiousness, confidence and worry.

Either way, however people are feeling, there should be a realisation of how significant a game this is. It’s ten times bigger than the JPT final for me.

I’m sticking with 3-0, although based on MRs comments it sound like we’re in for a defensive game.

Apparently BBC football focus at midday is focussing on Notts County today.

Trouble is with the big crowds the players need to get an early goal and then the crowd are on our side but if we keep misplacing passes etc they soon turn

Can somebody also run the odds on us hammering it out of play from kickoff?

Team

Burge
Grimmer
Willis
Davies (so pleased he’s back)
Stokes
Bayliss
Kelly
Doyle
Biamou
McNulty
Shipley (if fit-unlikely?) Whose the defensive option cause Reid won’t start. Could Haynes play???? Grendel would be apoplectic

Subs

Jch
Hyam
Barrett
Haynes if not starting
O’Brien

Think 1-1 head, heart says 3-1

Their players are probably all on holiday by now (even Mo Eisa) and I don't think the FL would allow us to sign them all anyway.

If Shipley not fit, Bayliss back into the 3 and Andreu in the hole.

Robins says he's been outstanding in training and obviously wants to play him, medical staff say the risk is too great still.

My post was not serious, merely salivating at the thought of that 4 in midfield. Not sure Robins would risk his career by overruling the physios and certainly not with a starting place.

No way you bring Andreu in having not played all season and not having any U23 games.

To consider something like that it would have to be a player like Messi!

It's going to be a night where everything clicks for us, if we can get the ball down and play. I think the game will be out of sight and next week will just be a party up there. 4-0 McNulty hat-trick and Bayliss.

Starting to get nervous now. Supported this club long enough to be expecting them to find a way to spectacularly mess this up.
