very decent display v a team with their best start in 20 years and a wage budget 5 times ours.

great to not drop heads after going behind as well.

Obviously a draw is a good result, gutted about Chaplin's misses where we could have won

By subbing Shipley off

Why did we not attack with intensity till 1 down?

Manager needs to be on them from min 1 if we are not playing in top gear

Entertaining 2nd half.

Fair result.

Play like we did last 20 minutes from the start and we would have been burnt out by half time. It’s about getting a balance

Played well, I think we deserved at least a point. Chaplin should have buried his chance but played well otherwise. Good to see Jones back, he showed that bit of enterprise we miss even in his short time on the pitch.

You do feel we're not far off in this league. Mid table and nowhere near playing the kind of football I reckon we're capable of.

Need try Thomas and Jones in same 11. One of them adapt to left. If works could run teams ragged

I think we should attack from the start. We should have more than 1 shot in first half.

We still concede even when not playing open don't forget

If you ignore the fact he should've been off before half time....

Either keeper for me, or JCH.

He shouldn't have been on the pitch when he scored.
Two bookable fouls and he could easily have had a booking for dissent. Gobshite

Happy to draw 1-1 especially with the injury to Brown and reshuffling the back line.

We were exposed a few too many times for my liking down Willis' side. Luke Thomas has to do more defensively because that could have been costly the amount of times their players found themselves free out there.

Only worry is the changing weather. We don't seem to like playing in the cold and rain.

We need this Jch week in week out

Even this along rangers.mske such a difference. Lead to rebounds or set pieces even if the original shot was u likely to go in

Even though Chaplin missed I personally feel likes he's always gonna get chances every game so I think he is a good buy

Chaplin game is built around goals so he needs to convert chances - he’s missed some howlers

A very good performance, Bayliss controlling the urge to run forward too often and when he did his vision was superb. Burge brilliant stops and their keeper also had a very good game. best I've seen JCH play! Chaplin should have given us all 3 points but the guy will start scoring when the first one goes in and he gets his confidence up. Nice to see Jones back with more controlled thinking than the headless Thomas (who did have a good game) We are still prone to losing our makers at the back though. A solid point and bring on Portsmouth. We will get stronger as the season progresses.

Willis has never look particularly comfortable at full back and with Thomas he wasn't going to get much cover. I think his greater experience now helps him cover for his deficiencies in the position now, but I don't think he'll be there too often if it can be helped.

Would've taken 1-1 before the game, but Chaplin's miss at the end was a sickener. For a player we're spending £500k on, he has to bag them.

JCH was immense, lead the line incredibly. Sterling's best game for City by far. Would've liked to see Robins make another change when JCH and Shipley were flagging around 85', but after looking at the bench I wouldn't have wanted Baka or Andreu on there with their work rate.

Some real simple finishes as well. He needs to score one soon, the second one where he was one on one was shocking.

The goalie would have been sold easily for a tap in. Tried a weird weak shot and stood and watched it.

Agree with all this apart from Bayliss. Tried dribbling too often and lost the ball and had a couple of chances to play striker in and ran instead.

He’s obviously a great player. You can feel a McNulty moment when it clicks and he’ll bag loads of goals. Gutting tho.

Agree. But offside goals show he can finish. We will be ok. He will get 15-20 imo

Good to see they have seen a big attendance and got the ticket machines on overdrive for parking.

Obviously would have taken a point before the game, but I'm actually really disappointed not to have all three. Two criminal misses by Chaplin. He has to do better with both of them. The second one especially could not have been a bigger gift. He may not get a better chance in the rest of his career than he did there.
