who ?Doyle sat with Eccles, Shipley, Clive, Tom Grennan and Patrick Bauer.
We aren’t buying Doyle, it’s something someone made up and now it’s being treated like fact. Also Doyle has played around 200 games in men’s competitive football, Perry has played zerobased on that, I’d rather give Perry a chance than Doyle, keep the money to spend on where we need it, a centre forward
Badly need a quality striker

It would be good but not urgent. It's great to see we have players coming through that will make a difference. It's easy to forget the quality of the players we were against and our youngsters doing so well.We need another decent centre back if we are to keep Perry in the squad
There was a time where doyle had played zero aswell, Lampard like to develop academy players, why buy players in when you might already have the player ?We aren’t buying Doyle, it’s something someone made up and now it’s being treated like fact. You’d hope so if we put a significant bid in for rushworth and with Binks saleCouldn't agree more, it's so blatantly obvious but have we got enough money to sign a quality striker.
Lampard doesn't obviously rate Obikwu, didn't even give him a 10 minutes run out.
And also add them on top of the 24 players allowed. It's the way to go forward. There was a time where doyle had played zero aswell, Lampard like to develop academy players, why buy players in when you might already have the player ?
To Simms credit he does make good runs that the rest of the team can be bad at finding. But his hold up play, first touch and more are poor.Simms was good and bad tonight , BTA just isn't good enough . Hopefully he goes and we bring in a striker to start/challenge Simms
Maybe those wondering why we bid £5.5m for Rushworth know why we did now. Looking class already and will be worth a lot of points to what we have become used to.You’d hope so if we put a significant bid in for rushworth and with Binks sale
Makes you wonder how he got to earn £100,000 per month. To Simms credit he does make good runs that the rest of the team can be bad at finding. But his hold up play, first touch and more are poor.
It isn't that we have what we need as CB. It just isn't as important as a striker. Bring in a good striker and CB and we're about ready to go. Anything else would be a massive bonus.I think one pre-season friendly might be a bit soon to declare that we'd be fine going into the season with just Kitching, Thomas, Lati and Perry as centre backs.
dont think we’re getting both with just over a week to go, never going to have the perfect squad but I’ll be worried if we don’t add to those 2 positions, Perry is a bonus still need some cover at the backIt isn't that we have what we need as CB. Obikwu seemed a little lazy when I watched him, I would expect someone coming to the 1st team to look as though they are trying and busting a gut to impressCouldn't agree more, it's so blatantly obvious but have we got enough money to sign a quality striker.

The window shuts at the end of Augustdont think we’re getting both with just over a week to go, never going to have the perfect squad but I’ll be worried if we don’t add to those 2 positions, Perry is a bonus still need some cover at the back
But you want players in before the season starts ? We’ve had all summer to go after our targets, end of August and your getting your Getting a bit desperateThe window shuts at the end of August
Course, I think we’ll have at least one signing by a week on SaturdayBut you want players in before the season starts ?
If looking at Prem loans it could be longer. Their season starts a week later normallyBut you want players in before the season starts ?
same here, no way Lampard is happy with what we’ve got, and we’re only a couple more away from having a really good squadCourse, I think we’ll have at least one signing by a week on Saturday
GK, defender and midfielder so far. Next one must be a striker thenJust hoping for one more “ he’s quality “ signingmust admit our signings have gone up a level, grimes, rushworth and Hayden, class

I’m amazed how people think performing in friendlies offer any indication at all when the real action starts
Our slow build up makes it difficult for our strikers, they all want to play off the shoulder. To Simms credit he does make good runs that the rest of the team can be bad at finding. But his hold up play, first touch and more are poor.
I know the feeling. Other than my passing, shooting, first touch, heading, and tackling, I've got the everything needed to be a decent player. Except fitness and attitude, of course, but I guess I could work on that.![]()
Haji v Sunderland. Torp pass? How much of the no. 9 problem is them not making the right runs, midfielders not threading balls through or the way we play? I can't remember the last time I saw one of our strikers running on to a or being given a decent through ball. Mad stuff.
