It’s hopefully being looked at , in far more depth than when City took working parties to Derby & Leicester ( 2009 to 2011 iirc ) to see how they organised a stadium , on a match day scenario . With Derby at that time , giving us more or less half the away end towards the main stand - now altered to the opposite corner , without any major problem & as you all know Leicester is brilliant, with just a walkway between the fans ( no thousands of empty mesh covered seats , with their police just walking up & down all game …… problems….. about nil !
What did our party do , apart from have a good scoff ….. nothing & still the thousand of empty seat block’s continue ….. & one person in particular is still with us !

At the end of this season , the club, police and sag need to come up with a viable solution to segregate home and away fans to maximise revenue. If this means moving the away fans into blocks 13-15 then so be it . As the home team we should be behind both goals and east stand . Maximise our vocal support. This is why HR was so good , even the main stand at HR was vocal without the help of the a west End .

Fingers crossed it's not a repeat of last year's last 15 horror minutes tonight. I still have nightmares about it to this day.

£45 is a rip off from Doug. Fine when it's a Cat A and only £8 more but nearly double the price?

This is alway a good thing . Let’s see what happens when season tickets go on sale . If Doug keeps it around the same cost as this season and we get 21K plus STH their hand could be forced to look again .

We should be getting blocks 6,7,8 and 9, half the South Stand each, can't see what the problem is with segregation and bringing down a few roller shutters

they managed to do it for a 2000 allocation for Boro in the PO semi, can anyone sat in the south stand for that game comment on what the concourse situation was?

I had a season ticket in there when it was open for home fans, and also sat there during the Olympic games. It's almost a mirror imagine with a big roller shutter in the middle. There's no issues with home fans being in there assuming the facilities still work.

Would love unchanged thought it was good first half but we did sag a bit second
Earlsdon_Skyblue1 said:
It works when the away team bring 4k or whatever, but for a lot of games (like this), you end up with a sell-out at about 25k or whatever.

I really think the ultra section should go behind the goal, put safe standing in. Move the away fans to the corner and police it a bit better. The hard-core will still be close enough to sing songs at the away fans, and the attendances won't be dependent on how many away fans come to the game. Therefore increasing revenue, home supporters in the stadium, and atmosphere.

Noticed at the Spur/West Ham game yesterday the gap between the fans not exactly the best of mates was about two rows of seats our lot have to learn to give up the gestures etc, watch the game and not the away lot. We might end up behind the goal then.

There is never a problem because there’s always a solution.anything is doable just open your mind and look what’s in front of you .
This is how I roll and get thing done . It’s my job to find a solution . And trust me there is a solution!

Cracks me up on here , because it's been pointed out multiple times our fans are fucking weird .. start trouble often and have been responsible for most of the violence I've seen at stadiums home and away I've visited for the last 10 years ( believe me , I'm not lying )

And they are like , why aren't we closer like everybody else

are the safety group and police thick ? Or do they just love denying CCFC money

There is no need to open your mind, they just need to open their eyes and see the roller shutters in the concourse. The solution is already there, for whatever reason they're unwilling to use it.

I have no faith in that. Safetyism is a ratchet, it only goes one way. Once a dumb decision has been made in the name of safety it’s unlikely every to be undone.

Because if you do try and get it undone you’ll be accused of wanting people to get hurt

Being a bit more realistic , will roller shutters stop leicester fans and coventry fans kicking the shutters to pieces when they play eachother ?

A partition wall will

I was in block 11 for that game and the concourse was completely isolated from both the away fans, and the rest of the home fans. It was like a private stand for block 11 (and I think block 12).

Regardless, if they are going to do some stadium renovations and put some money in to install safe standing, I cannot see how installing now barriers (or building a brick wall) in the concourse to accomodate it would be beyond the realms of possibility. I just get the impression they're dragging their feet and want to keep the biggest amount of segregation between supporters as possible. That may have worked in the depths of league 1 and league 2, but not with 20k plus home fans.

Like I said before, I think the away fans should have the corner. Make the safe stand adjacent to it a complete 'animation' stand with safe-standing and the entourage from singers corner.

It was fine, they opened up outside because it was a hot day and just fenced an area off, I think boro had a similar area.
The only issue I saw the stewards having to deal with was standing in aisles, nothing between rival supporters.
We were of course ludicrously segregated from the city fans to our right!

Cheers for detail lads. So this quashes any of the ‘it’s not possible’ comments from anyone involved.

I don’t know if it’s because of our slow decline since moving into the Arena that the SAG think that the south stand is solely for away fans and we would always be giving away teams 5-6K tickets but we’re in 2023, been on the up since 2018 and our own supporter’s demand is there.
