Bad thing about today: The drop in temperature after half-time

Good thing about today: Watching Matt Grimes play football

I'd add the way MVE went off. Nearly puked by the look of it and went straight down the tunnel.

I'd try and drag another shift out of him for Ipswich and rest him for the Charlton game.

Bidwell did as much bad as he did good today realistically. That’s my main negative as he’s likely to start against Ipswich.

His moment where he decided to block that attacker off rather than go for the ball could have cost us, passing the ball straight out of play, *that* back pass to Rushworth.

But then he showed a great turn of pace when alongside one of their attackers, shepherding the ball out really well on one occasion, some good headers out of the danger area.

Yes that decision to try and block the attacker off was really odd. Rushworth wasn’t even coming out for it!

Couldn’t believe that sprint from him in the second half!
Whilst MVE been ok recently, is it a bit of an indictment against KKH that he can’t make it into the team over a guy who is clearly under the weather?

Agreed. Actually looked way out of his depth and was lucky on more than one occasion. Not really a surprise and quite difficult to watch given what a good player he’s been

I don’t think he was terrible, just not the player he was when he was playing regularly for us, which seems an age ago now!

Maybe they’ve got something even worse than the flu, it’s been in the squad since at least the Ipswich game and still impacting performances

I now know of two people who've had whatever it is and both had it for 2 weeks. Said on another thread, 1 is my mates son in law who's as fit as a butchers dog usually so it's a bit worse than the usual 3 day job but I think it must coming to and end for the squad now.

Put me and my missus out for a week, whatever they’ve got is much worse it seems

Rudi and Tats still off it IMO. Rudi getting better but is giving thd ball away too much for my liking and Tats not able to get flowing since his return from concussion.

Would be a good signing for a championship side who play 5 at the back, where he could play as a left sided CH with a quick wingback to his left.

Its easy to forget that hes not played many minutes this season, so looks a bit rusty.
But he will move on at the end of the season.

Yah that was weird decision making at the end. He was lucky the player fell for it rather than side step him

What we’ve done with so many players out or recovering from this virus is impressive. I honestly don’t give a shit about performances at the moment, it’s all about results. When everyone’s back, healthy and fit I’d imagine we’ll see an upturn in performances.

Only need to look at some of the results around today to see what a tough league it is when teams aren’t quite at their best. Hull drawing v Sheff Weds, Southampton losing to Oxford, Blues not beating Derby at home etc etc

We played brilliantly at St Mary’s last week to be honest and also took Bristol apart in the first half. Said before, we have players running through walls for the club right now. Pundits who ask about the ‘drop off’ should know better.

Yeah I kept hearing him come out with pearls like 'This is catching practice' everytime their keeper caught a cross
Had four blokes sat behind me moaning like fuck for the first 40 minutes on how shite we were and every time Swansea did something they complimented it. Was ruining my match day experience with the annoying shite being spouted.

When they all dissapeared for a group piss and missed the goal I did not feel bad for them.

They were better 2nd first half but that's the difference a goal up in a frustrating match does.

We’ve been spoiled this season with goals flying in from everywhere and I reckon we’d have probably stuck 3-4 of today’s chances away a couple of months ago. Over the season though this levels up and we’ve got to just dig in and get results sometimes. That’s just football
