Disappointed to lose but we were always going to lose at some point in the next few games, and the loss wasn’t all of our own making today. The ref was poor, especially failing to act on the embarrassing level time wasting. We made chances but weren’t clinical.

One thing is that I’d to have seen us go forward with a bit more urgency. Towards the end when we went for it more, we got the penalty and those chances that could so easily have gone in. We passed the ball around at the back too often for me. I know they packed the midfield and maybe Kitch, Woolf and Grimes couldn’t see the balls out but what was the alternative? Maybe some long balls to EMC who was our best attacking threat today.

We didn’t play badly though and shouldn’t be disheartened at all. Especially with the last minute Bristol City goal. Up the Robins! L

Frustrating to lose but we have it our all and we're so close to an equaliser . In glad crowd reacted the way they did. Not sure what the reaction has been on this forum

Eccles was poor. Should t have started. One great cross for Woolf chance but other than that he looked lost. I can't be bothered with another Eccles is overrated, Eccles is understated merry go round but for me he's back on the maybes list for a potential premier league season. Fact is after allens he is the worst midfielder left. That doesn't make him shit, far from it in fact but he his ceiling is less than majority of our squad. He should have started Vs likes of Preston not a parachute team imo

Also we played worse once Simms came on. Back to his anonymous self unfortunately. Shame he couldn't build on a good cameo Wednesday.

But look no one was horrendous and we went toe to toe with a team who were in lremclast season and are on form.

Coupled with fact Boro dropped pts late in not too down.

If Millwall drop pts too then somehow it's a day that saw us get closer to the finish line..keep the faith

Lati should come back in for Swansea but I like that Lampard didn't let him straight back in today. He's always played it where if you get the dirt at the back it's yours to lose and we kept a clean sheet midweek.

Preston offered zero attacking threat midweek. Keeping your two worst CBs in because of that is just silly.

That’s one of those games where you can’t understand how the away team came away with a win. Did well to nullify us but aside from tap ins from undefended balls into the box they didn’t create a single thing. I don’t recall them having a shot?

Agree on Eccles, he simply isn't a 10. And in games like today you need a bit of guile in there. He doesn't have that.

He was poor today. He was fine last game and the game before.
He was dropped because of his poor form during our wobble.

Honestly I don't trust him at the moment, he's prone to a rush of blood to the head and goes charging out of position and gets caught too often, or lets people run off the back of him. That's only going to get worse as the pressure ramps up from here.

Thomas and Lati is the pairing till the season ends for me.

Then challenges are fucking disgusting how has the ref missed both of them? No only missed them but both fuckers scored.
The bad thing is he didn't miss them, because he gave free kicks.

They were very, very poor challenges. I thought the first one was as dangerous to his opponent as Dasilva's was at their place. They could have had no complaints had he been sent off (though they would have complained loads, because they're a generally grubby team).

Yeah fair enough mate, was just frustrating as hell

the midfield lost us that game imo
Just chill out and take a breath before posting nonsense mate. You definitely arent as panicked as you used to be. A loss isn't the end of the world, it was nowhere near a terrible showing today and the goals both had an element of luck.

Need to be tough from here don't let little knocks derail us or the team, there will be more twists and turns.

Hope Lati and Thomas return asap to shore up our backline in the remaining games. Rudoni needs to coback asap as well.

Though he won the penalty and scored, Torp still looks a little subpar to me. His freekick today was way off and he’s easily muscled off the ball and doesn’t drive things forward as much as he used to.

Thanks mate 🩵

Wasn’t all going to be plain sailing I suppose

CWR have just said that the aim is Thomas fit for Swansea

who would start alongside him?

The goals we conceded looked poor. Interestingly Oggy was ranting about Simms for the second allowing the guy to get ahead of him.

Definitely didn't deserve to lose that, even though we weren't at our best. Their goalie was MoM, and the ref was one of the worst we've had. No panic, you can see we're a class above the vast majority of the teams in this league. Southampton with all their parachute money, just came to filth their way through the game.

He’s ahead, definitely. Not entirely convinced I’d want him starting 30 PL games next season but I’d have him in the squad.
I'm not sure. The Prem loves a no nonsense English CB and loads have made the step up.

I feel like he could be alright if we get a bit of quality next to him.
