Im not bedwetting off the back of this. Was our toughest remaining fixture, theyre on a roll, there is always a team that comes from nowhere and gets top 6, this years its them. Playing our 2 worst centre halves aswell

Imperative we dont lose Saturday however, looks like we wont have Haji, Thomas or Rudi. Shithouse it whatever way we can and hopefully have all 3 back for after the break

He said Thomas should be back for Swansea

Lati really should have started, Simms is no bad option up front either. That said I would take a point there if offered, then use the break to get those missing players back and work hard on the training ground for Derby.

If we'd have equalised and Boro held on, they'd have gained 2 points on us. As it was they've gained just 1 point. Not too bad at all in the grand scheme of things.

Appreciate the overreaction on my behalf but to say I don’t praise the team when they win is just not true what so ever

The bookies didn’t put us at 1/500 or whatever it was to go up if one loss would jeapordise all of it. We didn’t deserve to lose today either to be clear.

The bookies were that confident some wouldnt even let people bet on us!

I lost count of how many leg-breaking high boot challenges there were from Soton today. Can we show these to PGMOL like McKenna likes to do for missed penalties?

I think their forward line would've troubled any of our centre backs

We've given ourselves such a good buffer where we only need to beat 3 relegated teams or teams on the beach to make it there. I'm confident still.

Southampton were the best team we had left to play. Today isn’t a reason to have a melt down, especially given we should probably have had at least a point. Bristol did us a favour too.

Exactly. If someone pointed out above we had equalised, yes it would have looked better, but Bristol equalising instead meant Boro gained 1 point on us not 2.

If a team is constantly timewasting from the first half on, definitely leave it until 87 minutes to actually book someone for it, that'll stamp it out

We shouldn't gloss over the fact we were poor today. Way too passive for much of it. Might have had the better of the game overall, but didn't do enough. No need to panic though. We'll go to Swansea with a few out by the looks of it. Keep our heads and get a result there, don't want to go into break on the back of 2 defeats. Put this one to bed quickly.

Ultimately it’s two lapses in concentration rather than them carving us open. Lati is one player I can trust to not switch off like that and defend the box better. Kitching I have seen enough of to say this was not the game for him.

I don’t agree, it’s down to their keeper and us switching off twice at the back.

I will definitely say the ref was very poor

you could tell they were ex premier league by the way they were conning the ref

If you’ve seen the replay and confident of that, then I retract it! From my angle and of those around me, we all thought it was a dive!

Well everyone will know what I have to say on that. What is the point of cramming your own box if you let someone roam free in it?

Their keeper once again had a good game, but I think it was rather ironic their two goals came from two players who stamped on our lads and if they had VAR would have been off. Once again our rivals are not punishing us (Boro draw with Bristol) which will see us up.

In what version of the rules is standing on an opponents ankle in the box and him being forced to the floor not a penalty? Was this your first game? You should let the club know, they’ll send you a commemorative postcard.

I haven’t had the chance to see a replay yet and it just looked like Torp flopped - the trod on the ankle wasn’t clear from my angle.

I understand why Lampard stuck with Woolfenden and Kitching. Hard to make a change after a clean sheet. However, I think he would have done a better job than both. Kitching has an annoying habit of pressing high up the pitch after a bad pass he makes, leaving a huge hole at the back. Woolfenden moves the ball so slowly and was poor for their first goal.

Kinda just got to let this one go. Bristol done us a favour and we can’t win every game. Just wasn’t to be.

Swansea now a more important game but back us to put it right and get another run together

Kitching also played a horrible hospital pass to Grimes which probably ought to have cost us a goal.

He had a good game against a team with a beaten mindset on Wednesday, but other than that his form has been poor in the latter half of the season. I doubt he starts against Swansea.

Thought we were largely poor today, they came to disrupt us, and it worked, constant time wasting from them was pathetic, the ref was pathetic too. Forget it and onto the next, the equaliser for Bristol City was massive for us.

Disappointed to lose but we were always going to lose at some point in the next few games, and the loss wasn’t all of our own making today. The ref was poor, especially failing to act on the embarrassing level time wasting. We made chances but weren’t clinical.

One thing is that I’d to have seen us go forward with a bit more urgency. Towards the end when we went for it more, we got the penalty and those chances that could so easily have gone in. We passed the ball around at the back too often for me. I know they packed the midfield and maybe Kitch, Woolf and Grimes couldn’t see the balls out but what was the alternative? Maybe some long balls to EMC who was our best attacking threat today.

We didn’t play badly though and shouldn’t be disheartened at all. Especially with the last minute Bristol City goal. Up the Robins! L
