Frustrating game - a draw probably would've been fair. Think we looked laboured and slow in possession all game, second to everything. Thought Grimes/Onyeka and then Torp when he came on were poor at showing for the ball - Eccles in the 10 works in some games but today wasn't one of those, it was crying out for Rudoni. Also should've gone long earlier and more frequently.

Enjoyed it being their cup final, pretty rapid fall from thinking they were gonna piss the league to shithousing a win that keeps them in 7th.

Today's had no real impact on the promotion race other than another game burned for the chasing pack.

Lampard referred to this in the interview. Obviously frustrating result, but what a complement to have a parachute team play such a negative game plan against us.

Wasn’t really our day today-but of a bad day at the office but we nearly got an undeserved draw after deciding to start playing ten minutes from the end. I knew we lack fire power when it was the end for Wright and Simms just didn’t impose himself against a better team than Preston as he did on Wednesday night. Eccles just didn’t workout either and was rightly hooked on 50 odd.
Oh well, put it to bed and onto Swansea.

Deserved a draw imo but agree with the rest.
