Yep, I did that in Chesterfield in 1987 waiting for the result at Stoke in the FA Cup. I wonder what happened next……..Standing outside Radio Rentals Window 4;45 on a Saturday![]()
If Ipswich lose to Norwich then they can only get to 90 pts.Ipswich are likely to cock up anyway, without Millwall or Boro's help.
They have 7 games left and 5 of those are away and they have a very tough game at Carrow Road tomorrow.
I think they just have too many games left now and are having to cram them all in
Let me get back to you pal asapIf anyone is looking for a ticket for tomorrow, I have one spare in Block 14 at face value.
I used to think this but we're promoted already, tomorrow should be the start of the party and we should just enjoy it while we can. If that (P) appears next to us at the game or not it's already done.Am I the only one that wants a Millwall or Boro win?
Its going to be a right shit way to do it if we get promoted at 5 tomorrow when everyone is seperate
Back in the late 60's and 70's we used to rent our tv from Gibbs on the Foleshill Rd, by the General Wolfe. It had a meter on the back, so if you wanted to watch TV, you had to put either a shilling or a two shilling coin into the meter. When they came round to empty the meter, we waited with baited breath to see if we'd put too much in and were due a small refund! How times have changed! That always blew my mind. So you've spent weeks shitting yourself that we won't make it, and now we can make it you don't want us toAm I the only one that wants a Millwall or Boro win?

No Sakamoto so you imagine that will be Esse in
Not ideal but I suppose if there is any game you want to be forced into having to rotate a bit it is against a side with one win to their name all season
Not a bad thing. The players will be taking it seriously and the ground will be rocking expecting the win. The atmosphere is going to be electric.Feeling some overconfidence
His appearances off the bench have been encouraging, good game to use him in I agree.Id play markelo from the right if saka is out , no better game to give him a first start
I’d agree with that considering the oppositionId play markelo from the right if saka is out , no better game to give him a first start
Just want it done however if I could confirm the results ahead of time. Blackburn would be the game to do itAm I the only one that wants a Millwall or Boro win?

If we win tomorrow we most probably won't be getting promoted at home. If Middlesbrough and Millwall both also win we will be 12 points ahead of both of them and about 20 GD ahead of Middlesbrough and about 30 GD against Millwall with just 4 games to go. At least we have a massive following at Blackburn on the Friday night in front of the cameras waiting for the single point needed to confirm promotion.I was thinking the same thing. Would be a damp squib though of Boro then went on and won.
Agree. Even if promotion is done, it will take a couple more games at least to get the title over the line.I just feel a little uncomfortable with picking and choosing what game we get promoted on.
I know it's an odds on certainty anyway, but to me, it just comes across as a little arrogant.
To my mind it's let's just get it done and as soon as humanly possible
I was trying to work through the maths to see if the Ipswich Boro game would also make it mathematically certain, assuming they were both to lose tomorrow. Don’t think soIf we win tomorrow we most probably won't be getting promoted at home. If Ipswich don't win either of their next 2 games we would also win the title with 2 wins. If not we then have 2 home games to do it in front of our own supporters. Not too bothered when promotion is won, but winning the title at home would be my choice.
Ipswich 12 points behind with 7 games to go. Ignoring our results for now 2 draws for Ipswich would be 10 points behind with 5 games to go. If we beat Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn the difference would be 16 points with 5 games to go. That's the game before Ipswich v Middlesbrough. So yes it's very possible.I was trying to work through the maths to see if the Ipswich Boro game would also make it mathematically certain, assuming they were both to lose tomorrow. Don’t think so
