Anyway back on topic. I fancy a win tomorrow but think we will need an early goal to make them open up more.

For my two pennies worth.
MVE, Thomas, Kitch and JDS are currently our first choice outfield defence on merit. JDS is the oldest at 27 so should be on top of his game. The others should have a bit to go improvement and experience wise.
None look ready for the Prem but sometimes players surprise you.
They all have a mistake in them, but make up for it in other ways. MVEs pace is blistering, Bobby's heading is usually good especially in the opposition box. Bobby scores crucial goals. Kitch is a good passer going forward. JDS is a great passer of the ball and is very good at retaining possession in tight spaces.
Can we improve on them on a limited budget? MVE's pace is difficult to replace although KKH look as near as we can get. Bobby and Kitch could be replaced with pacier, ball playing CBs but would they be as tough as those two? Really hard to find a player who can do all three that is not at a top club. JDS is finally showing the form that made him a youth fixture at every level for England. A tougher, better header, better defender, who is a superior crosser and can score goals. Good luck with that.

Go to start the team from Derby really.

Just hope FL isn't going to be afraid to change personnel and tactics if it's not working though, as I fear we may once again encounter a defence playing deep and we struggle with that.

Put Milan on the right to replace BTA , with KKH at right back .
This might be our last chance to see Milan & this will also give him free rein to run at their left back .
MVE & KKH should murder them for pace & a little tweak here & there never hurts when it’s quality
3 - 0
City top six all season

They've got some injuries to key players, I think we win this quite comfortably.

We'll have our customary defensive fuck up of course, so I'm going for a 3-1 win.

Atmosphere will be unreal today now following the stadium purchase. If the lads can put in a good start, it could be one big party.

I think you’re right though. Feels like the result doesn’t matter as much with this huge news (I know it does!)

The 20 year anniversary of the stadium coinciding with same opposition and now the big news of the stadium purchase. It makes for a good story and we need to get a good result to go with it. I think we will win, I don’t think QPR are that great.

Can't make today's match due to a long-standing commitment elsewhere and as thrilled as I am about this morning's news, I'm utterly gutted I won't experience what I know will be an incredible atmosphere.

Said atmosphere will propel us to a solid win - thinking 2-0 or 3-1 - and the next era of CCFC will begin. Can't wait to be a part of it!

Are you any good in goal?
