Have the club said if they're doing anything for the 20th anniversary of the stadium opening?

Wouldn't normally expect much for something like that but as we're playing QPR as we did in the first game thought there might be something.

Mad to think we're likely to get a much bigger crowd Saturday than we did for that game.
Don't hope too soon - A lack of a safety certificate should put paid to that.
What finer 20th anniversary tribute could there possibly be?

This is how stupid you actually are.
Here are his defensive stats as per fotmob from last season:

Tackles won: 66
Tackle success rate: 71.7% - This is incredibly high

Duels won: 190
Duel win %: 52.3%
Aerial duels won: 33
Aerial duel win %: 50.8%
Wins most of his duels, even in the air

Interceptions: 54
That’s a big number, showing brilliant positional awareness overall.

Defensive Interventions
Blocked: 12
Recoveries: 199
199 recoveries is incredible. This shows how much ground he covers, recovering possession after tackles, loose balls, and defensive transitions.

Discipline and Mistake Aversion
Dribbled past: 31
Over a full season that’s relatively low, especially when you factor in how often he’s exposed 1v1.
Fouls committed: 37
Yellow cards: Just 2
Red cards: 0
That’s top defending. Minimal fouls, even fewer bookings, doesn’t leave his team in trouble.
Fotmob. Yeah, that will give you definitive answers. ā€œDiscipline and mistake aversionā€ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

It provides actual statistics you moron. I wouldn’t expect someone like you with limited knowledge to grasp that concept though

MvE held our defence together single handedly at points last season. To claim he’s no good defensively is laughable.

We disagree about Kitching but MVE overall is our best defender

I just think Kitching and Thomas are both mid to lower champ defenders in terms of defensive ability and need someone to help them out. I’d only replace Kitching cos he’s older and not a goal threat.

Saved us from situations he’s caused by being way out of position repeatedly. A bit like the old Paul Williams scenario. Way out of position so has to make a Hail Mary tackle and everyone chants Willo, Willo, Willo.
You seem to have a very 90s view on how full backs play.

In possession we try and adopt a 3-1-6 shape that means that both full backs either push very high and act as wingers or invert and find themselves in the wider 10 positions.

This is how the are meant to act and it is not bad positioning.

Anyway to compare KKH and MVE on the specific metric of recoveries. According to fotmob, last season each player made this number of recoveries per 90

KKH 5.59
MVE 4.46

KKH must have even worse positional sense and / or recovery ability according to Cally logic

Oh no, not fotmob again. I’ve heard it all now. ā€œHe’s asked to play out of positionā€. šŸ˜‚. I know he’s a likeable character and all of that but he is one of the reasons that for a season and a bit we’ve continually leaked terribly easy goals. Not the only reason. But one of them.
Even though the stats say completely opposite? It’s astonishing how dumb you are

That's possibly the strangest take I've seen regarding our team.

Correct. Our defending for a long time has been truly awful. That’s primarily due to the defence and keeper in my opinion.
As I said on another thread, we do weird things like miskick just as a toddler does in a garden, or simply not kicking the ball, or the ball balloons off a defender back into the danger zone and we stand off instead of attacking the ball.
It's a combination of some really odd decisions and actions that lead to us giving soft goals away and it just keeps happening.

Absolutely. We find ways of conceding that you couldn’t make up. It’s because it’s all a bit haphazard back there.

Not to get involved in the flirting between you and CF but to say he wins most of his duels is a little OTT.

He nearly loses as many as he wins. That's not most.

After Rudoni, he's arguably our best player, in any position. You've had a shocker here even by the standards of this forum.

Thomas and Kitching being mid to lower Champ defenders is also some take considering they play regularly for a team that is not that.

Poor following from QPR for a 3pm saturday at the start of the season.

Tickets for Saturday's all-ticket affair are now off sale. R's fans have snapped up 1,847 tickets for the trip to the CBS Arena.
Please do not travel to the stadium without a valid match ticket.

Bank Holiday weekend with the schools going back soon so some people will be away on holiday while they still can.

I’ve never disputed he’s a good player. He’s just not an especially good defender.
You then laugh at people that use stats to prove that he is a good defender though. It might be your opinion but literally no one agrees with you
