You fancy your chances?
I think most on here are glad we dodged Sheff Utd.

Over two legs I don’t think so, no.

We’ve lost Sykes and Pring (both wingbacks) through injury recently that’s hampered us, hence why we crawled over the finish line. But having said that, you never know. It’s just nice to be involved after years and years of mid table boredom ha!

What do you think about Sunderland? I don’t know why, I just get the feeling they will be a different beast now.

History says we should win over 2 legs but you just never know.
They finished well ahead of us but have been poor for weeks, how easy is it to start turning it on again? We'll see.

I am also not reading much into their poor form, or their poor record against us. They finished fourth for a reason. It will be hard.

Dunno why but I feel like Bristol City are better equipped to take out the Blunts than us and we'll take out Blunderland because we always do.

We got a draw at their place in March and could have easily got all 3 points if it wasn’t for Cooper in goal. We played well that night! At home we were leading 1-0 until the 86th minute, Rob Dickie then gets sent off for us, they score 2 goals to win it at the death.

So you might be right, but it’s going to be really tough.

It's great be be in the play offs and like us, you probably feel if you fall in the semis its been a great season, but bloody hell, the tension is horrendous!

Would love a City Bristol final. Though would be extra annoying to lose to a ā€œworthyā€ team again and have to be all magnanimous and shit. At least I can hate Sheff Utd after.

Giving yet another team their first crack at the Prem would be a bit wounding. Better than losing to Wilder, Hamer, O'Hare and the Blunt army though.

You'll be late to the party then. Some of us (me) have hated them since they were singing for SISU in league one

It took me longer to recover from that result than any other.
I think it was only when we beat Wolves last season in the quarters that I could finally let it go.
I still can’t…. The dislike has gone further watching them regularly play against us in the early 2000s, then the league one needle when we lost to them in the 98th minute.

Also remember when McEvely nearly snapped Lameiras in half. They’ve just been a horrible thuggy club for a good time. They’re even unlikeable under Wilder.

That being said - I’m glad we finished 5th. They’d beat us over 2 legs every time. At least in the final it’s a one off game where it’s whoever turns up

My uncle went to high field Road to watch the beam back.. he’s hated Sean Bean ever since becuase and I quote ā€œ they showed him with his smug grin after the gameā€ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I was crying myself to sleep after listening to it on the radio
My step-dad was on the front of the telegraph the next day with his head in his hands.

Hate the blunts and all their fans.

I wasn't allowed to stay up to listen to the end so my parents wrote the end result (in sky blue crayon as if that would make it easier to accept!) and put it on my bedside table.

I was more upset that Dublin missed out on the England squad that year bizarrely
Funnily enough I was arguing with someone about that last week. Along with his goals his versatility should have took him.

he could easily slot in at CB if they were defending a lead and if they blew it - throw him up top.

mill Die in the hill he should have been 3rd striker in that squad

Yea he had a heart attack

It's not difficult to see why it happens.
I had to tell myself to take deep breaths at one point Saturday.
Was talking to a mate post game Saturday who's slightly older than me, early 60s, and he said he was in a right state at one point.

Yeh I didn't enjoy Saturday much at all until the second. Don't get stressed leading up to games like that, but once it kicks off I'm a wreck. The play offs won't be an enjoyable experience for me to be honest.

Felt physically sick from about 11 until the second goal went in and then had to stop myself crying oops
