A quiet morning after the phenominal day before.

I've never been more confident before a home game than I was yesterday, I knew the atmosphere would be good but my fellow CCFC fans blew my expectations out of the water. I don't think anyone who was present will ever forget yesterday, WLADITT was sensational and I worried for the stadium foundations after the second goal!

If it wasn't for Rudoni, Wilson would have been my MOTM - You'd never believe this was his first game in months, incredibly solid and confident, and saved the day more than once with his sweeper keeping. Sakamoto, Grimes and Sheaf also put in great shifts, and where on earth did that cameo from BTA come from? He utterly terrorised the Boro defence and his impact was immediate!

A long pre-arranged holiday will prevent me from being at the CBS on Friday but after yesterday I'm even more confident; the Sky Blue Army will find a way to somehow top the atmosphere from yesterday and I truly believe we'll easily turn Sunderland over in the first leg meaning we'll just need to run a tight ship in the second. See you all at Wembley!

Blows my mind that every player in the squad wouldn’t want to stay back and work with Lampard.

Robins would have turned things around, I'm sure.

But I can't see any way that we would have ended up in a similar position.

Maybe top 10 at best, but more likely, mid table.

I absolutely loved the bloke, but he was getting too stubborn and was beginning to get a little stale in his thinking.

Lampard has done a fabulous job. Robins would never have managed the same. And what the hell was going on with Kitching? Gone from left in the wilderness under Robins, to being almost undroppable with FL in charge.

I dunno. Lowest ever points tally for play offs, I think we’d have been in the mix. Which TBF the top ten pretty much were.

Ultimately though it doesn't matter does it now .

Robins an incredible humble manager for us and gave us everything we ever wanted for years .. left a great platform for frank to build on and hopefully we get where we all want to be under him , the premier league

One difference I will say - there was never any stories of players staying back with Robins to work on things.

Rudoni and Torp have clearly been working with Lampard on parts of their game and without this one to one training it’s likely they could have carried on as they were.

Our good form has coincided with this work, on top of that, Robins was stubborn enough to keep Kitching out the side, and I doubt Grimes would be signing without Lampard being here.

do I think Robins would have got better? Yes - but I don’t think he’d have reached the heights Lampard has

🤷🏻‍♂️

I said before I was looking at Leeds who sell out every season and seem to hold back 25% of home capacity, that would be something like 22k for us, but that seems low. Maybe 24k?

I've no attachment to the CBS, but its so much better when it's full.
To have the home ends 90-100% every week would be incredible.

Really? I thought they were pretty poor for the most part
I don't think I saw anyone stand out for them, they obviously did make more of a fist of it than their last two visits,or maybe it was our strikers who didn't stand out particularly,in particular holding out until close to HT.

You fancy your chances?
I think most on here are glad we dodged Sheff Utd.

Over two legs I don’t think so, no.

We’ve lost Sykes and Pring (both wingbacks) through injury recently that’s hampered us, hence why we crawled over the finish line. But having said that, you never know. It’s just nice to be involved after years and years of mid table boredom ha!

What do you think about Sunderland? I don’t know why, I just get the feeling they will be a different beast now.

History says we should win over 2 legs but you just never know.
They finished well ahead of us but have been poor for weeks, how easy is it to start turning it on again? We'll see.

I am also not reading much into their poor form, or their poor record against us. They finished fourth for a reason. It will be hard.

Dunno why but I feel like Bristol City are better equipped to take out the Blunts than us and we'll take out Blunderland because we always do.

We got a draw at their place in March and could have easily got all 3 points if it wasn’t for Cooper in goal. We played well that night! At home we were leading 1-0 until the 86th minute, Rob Dickie then gets sent off for us, they score 2 goals to win it at the death.

So you might be right, but it’s going to be really tough.

It's great be be in the play offs and like us, you probably feel if you fall in the semis its been a great season, but bloody hell, the tension is horrendous!
