Just watching Oxford v Sunderland and they have not setup a low block against them like they did against us! Showed us a lot of respect by the look of it
teams doing their homework against us, can see us getting more chances against mboro than we did against Oxford, hopefully we’ll take a couple,

He was banned for the QPR match after Norwich, so Oxford and Boro will be his 3 matches done. I remember there was some chatter he was going to be available for QPR and would serve the three matches after but that wasn't th case.
That's what I thought

That posted up article threw me. Always thought he was back for WBA and the 3 game ban would be for QPR, Oxford and Middlesbrough

Felt we’d lose this when the thread started and not really changed my mind. If we are to stand a chance the sky blue army are going to have to get behind the team big time.

It’s mboro not prime Barcelona like some are saying. They looked good in the first half then struggled the 2nd half, if sheff utd don’t get the red card and that finishes 2-2. They only play that way if you let them and we’ve got more than enough to beat them and it wouldn’t surprise me if we do,

Tomorrow really is massive. It has to ability to swing the season, melodramatic as that sounds.

Lose and we’re still mathematically in with a chance of autos and definitely play offs, but mentally I think it would be the biggest blow yet.

I’m not sure we have the mental strength to survive another poor result, especially at home and against our closest rivals.

Win and the momentum completely shifts.

I said it before, but the Grimes/Onyeka dynamic is key and Frank et al have had a week to get it sorted.

Also, Sakamoto has to start RW. Esse is technically great but positionally horrendous and we can’t afford that tomorrow.

If anything I’d start him at 10, especially with the more experienced and solidness of Grimes/Onyeka behind him. I’m a big Rudoni fan but he hasn’t found form yet and perhaps the enigma of Esse might be the spark we need.

I expect he’ll start Wright again, whose confidence is probably shot, and wouldn’t be surprised to see Thomas/Kitching back in - neither of which look particularly confident either.

I have no doubt they’re a good side and will cause us a lot of problems tomorrow. But have to say, I’ve enjoyed reading their forum. I’ll no doubt eat these words, but you wouldn’t know we were playing against Morris, Hackney and Alan Browne… reading what they’re saying you couldn’t be blamed if you thought we were staring down the barrel of Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi. Calm down lads. You’ve been top for 6 days.

Exactly, prime Barcelona mixed with 70s Brazil, we don’t stand a chance 😂 match them up 433 and just take it to em, we’ve got more than enough to beat them, we gave Ipswich too much respect and look what happened

Can’t play Esse AM he’d be totally lost. Not the game for him really. Rudi has been better recently IMO and deserves another go.

Rushworth
MvE Thomas Lats Dasilva
Onyeka Grimes
Saka Rudoni EMC
Wright

Is it make or break tonight? I think so

It's a not lose game otherwise we will be looking at booking hotels for the playoffs. A draw would be sufficient but a win puts us back in the driving seat and breaks the confidence a little of Middlesbrough. It's not just our recent run of results that have put us in 2nd but 18 points out of the last 6 games for Middlesbrough. If they win tonight I can't see them getting caught by anyone.

Hard to believe we already won 4-2 at the Camp Nou this season isn't it.

Between contracts at the mo so I dont even have the distraction of work to get me through the day. Forunately its the school holidays so the lad will keep me on my toes, although the first thing he said when he woke up was "score prediction?" 😭. (2-2 was my answer)

Huge amounts of over-confidence on the Boro forum. Like some were on here when we were miles clear.

Feels better to be chasing to me. I think as a fanbase, we are better suited to it. I think if the early signs of the game are that we are in it and up for it, the atmosphere will be a cracker. Could be a big factor in the game.

Come on City!
