Well people are saying its a hard game based on very little. Of course teams can upset the odds. To me it looks a favourable fixture to bounce back with.
Agree, Charlton away is a good fixture for us to have next. There will not be the intensity that we have had in recent away games against better teams than Charlton. I would change formation to 442 and play Simms and Wright up top, drop Rudoni and Torp, with Grimes and Eccles in midfield.

Lost to the better side, whole team was poor, they never let us settle, set up to nullify EMC and it worked, we looked completely void of ideas. So many poor performances tonight. We didn't look a threat at any point.

Get back to winning ways and extend the gap again.
Agree with all of that but even more annoying was the fact we never as some kind of consolation got near to (and I mean proper maim like) kicking any of the bastards.
Yet again, too nice aren't we?

He cost them £18m. What they have at their disposal is unbelievable.

In reality our job hasn't changed. 10 wins needed, and Doug needs to give Frank what he needs to get it done
10 wins would be good for top couple in the playoffs. Need 90+ to be sure of top 2 - so probably 12 wins would do it.

Get this feeling we won’t see much of Brau again. One of the most frantic players I’ve ever seen.
Wasn't in our 5 worst players tonight. Still not sure why we're deciding to write him off. Defended well, although could've been positioned better for the second goal (by no means at fault). Looked nervous at the start and misplaced a couple of passes. Wasn't ever going to look like a world beater given the poor team performance and the good quality of opposition (best team we play all year). Would genuinely rather him than Bidwell.

Lampard spelling it out to the fucking morons asking us to press the keeper.

Half of our fans are thick as fuck. It was obvious players were asked not to press the keeper from a standing start. Most of those booing probably disappeared after first or second goals though (good riddance)

Least said about the first half the better, just looked outmanned maybe partly due to Rudi in floating role but they also did a number on us. Second half thought we started really well for 15 mins or so which suggests it’s not just tiredness but tgey deserved the goal albeit lucky with deflection

Just a poor overall performance but they’ve been few and far between this season so not going to knock the players as they’ve all been immense to get us in the position we’re in. I’d be more concerned about the Ipswich players if I was an Ipswich fan as they seem to pick and choose when they turn up and should really be where we are when you consider their squad depth and quality. Over the season they’ve massively underperformed

Onto the next one. Just hope the fanbase keeps the faith and sticks with this team through thick and thin over rest of the season

I tried to do it myself to those around me who were howling for the press.
But at 0-0 it's difficult to convince many that it could lead to a 6-0 deficit.
Desperately bad performance but without standing off it could have been closer to 6.

If youre a fan of any other club watching coventry tonight , youd be asking how the fuck we are so far clear at the top .. we looked so poor all over
Said the same to my mate. Ipswich played well, but we were miles off our usual self. I am confident we will come back to our old selves, but not quite sure how soon!

For me MvE at fault for both goals, watched them back again its his lethargy and laziness running back leaves Clarke open for the first, then the same for the second means the defence shifts over leaving Burns open who would have been marked by Brau

Which is fair, but that being the case we’ve then still gone 4-3-3 with a high line. 5-3-2 with hitting on the break has been their Achilles heel this season, teams who try to play their own game at them get done.

Poor tonight and tbh not sure what we could do to change it. Bidwell for Brau or Simms for Haji wouldn’t have made a difference.

Feel like Eccles needs to come in for Rudi who needs to start earning his starting place even whilst accepting he’s trying to regain fitness.

Asante can’t come back soon enough, I’m rapidly losing patience with Wright and think Simms and BTA work better in a two than Wright.

Great to be where we are and it’s ours to throw away but tonight has been coming. We need fresh legs and no way this team survives in the top flight.

He’s probably absolutely knackered.
Hes currently the only player with an as good as damn it, like-for-like replacement on the bench! If MVE isnt 100%, then thats on nobody but Frank for leaving him on for 90 mins whilst KKH sits twiddling his fucking knob on the bench!

If we continue to pick up points at the rate (1.33 per game) that we have in the 6 December matches, we will end up with 80 points, so based on what you posted we may well finish third.
On paper we always said that December was our hardest month.

Furlong probably would have twiddled it anyway
