We're doing ok and made some good chances. Bta had a real pen shout too. Keep the faith

If talking subs for me it would be Simms for BTA and Wright for emc

Carbon copy of last year really. Tidy enough but not clinical. Easy to get at down either flank. Always look like we have a goal in us but easy to score against. Nothings changed.

Some really good build up and bits of individual skill but pretty toothless in the box. They came at us for the first five or ten mins and then reverted to a parked bus.

They look crap so cue their one goal on the break.

Solid half, nice bits of play, definitely the better team. Just need to convert it into a goal.

Still think it’s sad to see the only new player in the starting line up is the GK, who looks really good btw. Fans have backed the club with ST sales, but barely any new signings.

Not great. Again too often it's just that final bit that needs to be better. Should have had a penalty.

Torp's looked good. Mason-Clark hasn't.

Hughes has looked very good; we should definitely try to sign him.

It's just all a bit too one dimensional and laboured going forward, each time the opposition's got time to get set and make things difficult. Contrast with just a simple ball over the top unpicking our defence multiple times.

Thought we'd have spent the summer working on other ways of playing.

Yeah, definite penalty. Was right in front of me, beat the defender to the ball.
I think he went down just before the challenge on replay. If he'd have stayed up he would've been cleaned out and defo a pen

As others have said, feels like a continuation of last season. Barring the GK same issues remain. Not the most thrilling but im not sure what people expect on game 1. Im happy with what we have seen so far, we just need to go for it and the chances will come.

As always if rudoni scores either chance you wouldn't see the nitpicking at half time on here. Perspective needed

Occupy then....proven he pulls 2 defenders towards him on a more consistent basis than BTA
They're sitting back...we need more space
What your solution rather than a shit joke?
I thought the notion that Simms could bully anyone was the shitter joke tbh.

They weren't particularly clear cut. Sakamoto should have done much better with that one near half time, few other real opportunities.
Yes the notion that people are nitpicking for the sake of it is pretty ridiculous

Tbf he can when he can be arsed
If Wright isn't there yet you bring him on. The fact Lampard has gone with BTA (who isn't very good either) over him, tells you where Lampard is at with Simms.
