Rudoni to score and City to win is the bet.
I had it a few times in home games last season!!

Look at the team that started last year vs. Stoke. Aside from Bidwell for JDS, and Rushworth in - it's identical.

Worrying about the lack of progress (and that the side selected that day lost to Stoke - and were rubbish)

That side then stormed up the table and finished 5th

Binks, Simms and Allen all started against Stoke.

Games early in the season can often be quite bonkers. All it takes is one team marginally fitter than the other, one set of players less mentally prepared, one set a little more rusty. You'd expect us to win on paper, but we could just as easily have a few moments of madness and lose 3-0. I think that's why managers often say to look at the table after 10 games, because by then every team should be fully switched on.

Anyway, 4-0 win. EMC hat-trick, Tats with the other.

I would be more excited to see anyone start upfront ahead of Simms or BTA. Stick Thomas up there.

But better than Kyle Joseph who has 0 goals from 16 games for us. In fairness Selles played him out wide for most of his time with us.

Don't worry we will sort that out for you...get your money on it

Lampard has said Haji is fit and ready. Test is how much of a 90 he can do.

Exactly that tbf. Said he’s pleased with his recovery and he’s fit. Unsure if he’s match fit and they might need to manage minutes

Callum Perry the only recognised Centre Half on the bench. It really has been a shocking summer

How Haji Wright is after making his return last week…

“We’re pleased with his recovery. He has done his rehab and trained with us, and he is now fit.

“We will have to decide how match fit and how his minutes look in the opening games of the season, but I’m very pleased to get him to this point.”

Don't they normally release squad numbers, did I miss that? Maybe there's so few new players they've just decided everyone is staying the same.

Not seen any announcement on captaincy either so assume we're sticking with Sheaf.

What you talking about. Half the team and the Manager will be different tomorrow. Dovin, Binks, Bidwell, Allen & Torp all started last season.

Loads more seats released. I really don't get why they don't just put the whole stadium on-sale at the start.

I'd be cautious tbh, ease him in. It's a long, long season after all.

I agree.

We want to get off to a positive start and we're fortunate enough to be at home to a team that is likely to have a hard time this season. We need to capitalise on that by getting at them, not having two CM's sitting back passing it prettily with the back four.

At the moment I'll say we'll win 2-1 (though reserve the right to change that once the teamsheet is in). We'll make it far harder than it needs to be though.

The other thought is we'll do our usual of dominating possession but creating very few chances due to pedestrian build up play then dropping a defensive clanger and losing 1-0

Whilst I am not surprised, going by the press conference, it looks like it isn't going to be the case (unless someone else is missing from midfield). Not to say it won't work or be suitable at certain occasions, but it is a disappointment. I feel like Torp can make a massive difference for us.

If he starts Sheaf it's because he thinks he is our best option for the role surely?
5 subs and a long season others will get their chance to shine.

They updated the first team list (Coventry City Football Club) with the new kit, KKH, Rushworth and Brau, the numbers are all there except Brau Rushworth & KKH. It's still a mystery.

Would have thought that KKH would take 2 now that Binks has left.

A lot of players now dont go for conventional numbers. Dabo never had 2 in all his time with us

Gone are the days when a squad number gave you an indication of a players position or status within a squad.

There has been a real lack of content it feels like. All for club keeping transfer dealings under wraps etc, but feels like summer especially there has been minimal engagement.

Probably haven't released the squad numbers because they know they will get filled in on the socials for not offering number printing yet.

Seems bizarre that they can't get that particular duck in a row after a couple of years.
