A mixed bag tonight, from good to poor to great. Strange game but once we got EMC & Rudoni on, there was only one winner. That second half was so confident and assured, Eccles with two glaring misses that would’ve been 2 & 3-1 if it fell to a goalscorer, but even with that we had more than enough to put the game to bed and it showed.

MVE superb throughout, Saka tireless work rate, Onyeka oozing class, Thomas getting his head on everything and Rudoni MOTM after 5 minutes. What a time to be a City fan, savour it!

That sub was highly needed as when trying to win the game and Eccles plays both balls directly to the keeper it’s time to change it and the sub made the difference. It’s just not Eccles natural position
