That sub was highly needed as when trying to win the game and Eccles plays both balls directly to the keeper it’s time to change it and the sub made the difference. It’s just not Eccles natural position

He’s played there all season?

Not making excuses for him but it can't be easy sometimes playing for the team you support, doubly so when it's a place in the Prem at stake. You can see how much it means to him and it's a layer of pressure that few players will have to experience.

Little reminder Rudi is the best player in the league. Too much disrespect when he was obviously not fully fit. Steps up to the Prem no problem.
He's NOT the best player in the league. Clearly not.

Are you not following the script? Everyone keeps reminding us that it's Hayden Hackney!!

They are all right and you are wrong. 🤪

It's a bit late anyway isn't it?

He would be classed as the best in the league if he had played all season

Again a very valid point , it has always irked me the amount of flak Josh gets . He's been massive part of our journey and has improved season after season along the way . Lampard obviously rates him as he's now above Torp in the pecking order so I just don't get the "easy target" from sections of our fan base

What a mental game that was!

Saka and Milan BOSSED IT down that right hand side tonight! They just never gave up and won the ball back countless times!

Although Tank and Grimes were abit quieter than usual they still did a job and was that a shot or a cross??.. who cares! The place fucking errupted!

A great team performance overall and super sub RRUUUUDDDDDIIIIIIIIIIIII

ITS HAPPENING!!!

I didnt think he was amazing today

But lampard and russell martin fawning over grimes on sky now is superb viewing
Decent bit that, they should get more younger managers in to talk the the game through after the match, way better insight than you get from usual expro pundits.

Think it was a good point about Grimes, he is just so consistent and transforms all the teams he's been part of. He deserves some proper recognition. Yes he's not as obviously flashy as others that will probably win champ player of the season but the worth he's brought in both quality on the pitch, and standards off it to the best team in the league I'd say there aren't many better. Never misses a match either
