Best half time entertainment in the league hands down though.I love how us being good just has the whole league rattled. Fucking Bristol City ffs, the most depressingly mediocre Championship club (outside of Preston) i can think of.
That’s an achievement for them too. They weee painfully league 1 for years.I love how us being good just has the whole league rattled. Fucking Bristol City ffs, the most depressingly mediocre Championship club (outside of Preston) i can think of.
It's starting to piss me off that referees keep penalising EMC for just being stronger than every full back.
The problem is EMC always raises his arms in close proximity to opponents…even when he doesn’t impede others with this it puts doubt in the refs mind.
That bit of play from Sakamoto was sensational and deserved far better than being ballooned into Row Z.Great 3 point. Rushworth quality.
If only Sakas amazing run and lay back near the end to Eccles had gone in - he had loads more time as well!
It was a great win and games like this earn a special kind of recognition that is so different to the trouncing of QPR earlier in the season. Can we all please recognise this is a class group of players. I thought we were the better side throughout, but Bristol City definitely had their moments too, to be honest.
This is the Championship, we are not going to have many easy games, Bristol City and Preston are both very capable Championship sides, and to pick up four against them is very good going.
Special group of players and a great win!
Yep, xG is almost identical and Bristol actually had more Big Chances. It was a great win and games like this earn a special kind of recognition that is so different to the trouncing of QPR earlier in the season.
I thought the game was a lot closer than you’re giving credit for and whilst it’s stating the blindingly obvious that it could have ended 0-0, I think it could have been as high as 3-3.
Great 3 point. Rushworth quality.

Yep, I think we gained two points today that we should’ve picked up Tuesday. It was a great win and games like this earn a special kind of recognition that is so different to the trouncing of QPR earlier in the season.

Yet nob heads still insist he was crap today.Dasilva is such an unbelievably tidy player - just checked the stats, he had more touches than anyone on the pitch and made the same number of passes as Grimes. That touch bringing it down out of the sky after a Bristol clearance in the first half was sublime.
It is that weird football take that the player who is not playing is always better than the one that is.Two lads in front of me, who are always piss miserable and frankly, the worst type of football fan, actually said “I cant wait for Dovin to be back” in the first half.
i took great pleasure in very very loudly shouting “yes bring back dovin this guy is terrible” when each time Rushworth made those saves at the end.
Only criticism I have of him is his delivery needs to be better, but generally speaking our crosses haven’t been great anyway. Does very well winning the headers he does for such a short fella, set up a goal today from it too.Yet nob heads still insist he was crap today.
I don't think they watch the match, just sit down and decide he will be crap before the KO.
Every time players are marked out of 10 on any social media, he always scores way too low.
I loved the Preston fans take on their team. Every season we spend £10 million and finish tenth. The forests will have burned, the icecaps melted, Europe will have been ravaged by decades of war, humanity, dominated by their AI overlords, will be eking out an existence from what little resources remain
Bristol City and Preston will still both be very capable Championship sides.
Yep, have always said that along with his shooting that is pants, and his failure to try to shoot in good positions.Only criticism I have of him is his delivery needs to be better, but generally speaking our crosses haven’t been great anyway. Does very well winning the headers he does for such a short fella, set up a goal today from it too.
Yeah but the twats never managed to get a block on that one - AAAAAHHHHH!Eccles could have had about 5 touches, didn’t even need to hit it first time!
Love to see it again And the one in 1st half where he flicked it round the man. That was a proper bit of magic from Saka to set up Eccles. Lovely little player.
5 points clear at the top with shit fullbacks, amazing!Big win. Rushworth superb. Really concerned that our full backs are just not anywhere near good enough defensively. But it’s a win
Far too many glory hunting tourists in there recently- dampens atmosphere and no bloody clue what’s going on. Obviously good for the coffers but turning into Premier league far to prematurely and predictably. Shame.Crikey, where do you sit, The Statler & Waldorf stand?
Was really loud many times and better than prob all home teams in the champ today. Was just one of them games.Atmosphere a joke (bad) today. Top of the league and was silent
Vitek was excellent for Bristol City. Just turned 22 and on loan from Manchester United. He kept them in the game with his saves and excellent handling when under pressure.Bit weird to see funny comments from the Brizzle fans, got a lot of time for their club to be honest but today the side with the better keeper won.
He was good, but Rushworth was phenomenal.Vitek was excellent for Bristol City. Just turned 22 and on loan from Manchester United. He kept them in the game with his saves and excellent handling when under pressure.
Whilst I agree with your comment overall, a point well made, I think you're slightly misrepresenting what I am saying when you say the "game was a lot closer than you're giving credit for".It was a great win and games like this earn a special kind of recognition that is so different to the trouncing of QPR earlier in the season.

Only thing that’s annoyed me the last few home games is all the people leaving early, seriously why bother going then leaving early. Clap the players off for the effort their giving
If it wasn't for Vitek the game would have been over before Rushworth made his first good save.He was good, but Rushworth was phenomenal.
