For some reason I think this game has draw written all over it.

The 'positives' are they aren't on a great run of form with 1 win in 5 and beyond that 1 win in 12. Although it's never nice to see a player injured, their captain Joss Labadie is out for the season with an ACL which is a big loss for them.

Cant wait
2-0 and the run continues
JCH and McNulty in front of 1,200 SBA
After the Easter Monday game hope we are only 2/3 points behind automatics with game in hand
PUSB and don`t blow it this year guys.

They are a big side, and they bullied us out of it here. Worried will be same there.

I watched them against Cheltenham earlier in the season and they weren't actually that bad at all. Nouble believe it or not was their best player on the day (although looks like he was dropped last game). Wilmott on the wing is decent, as is their other main striker Amond. They will be a threat.

They're not too hot in midfield generally or at full back, but Demitrou is a good CB and stood out in the game I watched.

We need to go and attack, that will be the best thing we can do. Once Cheltenham conceded a goal and woke up they went forward a lot and Newport looked unable to cope with it.

Fancy a 2-0 win, hopefully with our little run and the fact we finally put a few goals past a team will mean our confidence keeps growing. 6 points out of the next 2 games will do nicely

Ironically, I was really worried about this game a couple of weeks ago, but feel more confident now. The flip side is that I was confident that we would beat Cheltenham on 28th April, but now see that game as more of a challenge. They seem to have really picked up recently, so I am hoping that Eisa (or however you spell it) gets the Sky Blue curse over the next few games and has to sit that one out!

Cheltenham - looked very big on the size front in the hilights Saturday - Certainly Luton and Grimsby not that big - we get bullied by the clumpers in the back 10

Cheltenham are not very good in all honesty, even if I do have a soft spot for them.

There to be exploited at the back definitely, and I would say the same for Newport.

Would take a draw, but very much crossing my fingers for all 3 points.

Same side again.

1-1

Same side as Saturday, if Baker recovers from injury put him on the bench in place of Barrett.

My initial thoughts were that we would lose this one, but with the way we have been playing of late, I think we can sneak a win.

That's the spirit and if you keep that positivity up I promise I will stop calling McNulty, McSheffrey!

That's fine, cos both DKE's combined only take up half of one.

i didnt think they were good at ricoh, i just felt we were shit and burge was crap

that said 53pts is a decent tally that they have so they must have something about them

think we can keep our wins treak going but draw would not be end of world. especially if county beat wycombe we will be 1 pt closer to 3rd!

They parked the bus though and we couldn't break them down.

If we go at them I can see it being 2-0 to us, hopefully other results will go our way too.

Just got to figure out how to get iFollow working at work on the TV!

Going to lose eventually and this is one of the ones you'd pick out as being most difficult. We owe them one after the game at the Ricoh, especially all the smug Welsh gets after the game, I hope we can give it back to them. 0-2 JCH with both.

Yeah, this game was his fist howler followed by Yeovil that lost us our good start and him his place.

I have this strange feeling not experienced many times before, its called confidence. I am confident we will win this game.
My god that was weird writing that last sentence.

They are among the top 6 hoofers in the league, rely on set piece goals, have a long throw in specialist and are just a very poor team in a poor league. They are a of sh*t version of Notts county. Similar tactics.

Id be tempted to play Davies in this in place of Hyam.

Think our quality will shine through man for man if we play anywhere near our potential. Positive signs McNulty is due a good game (yes i know he got a hatrick).

Confidence is sky high within the camp. Keep it very tight first 30 mins and the game is ours as we slice through them.

2 nil.

Davies and McNulty.

Btw something my boy noticed on Grimsby matchday programme, not sure anyone else noticed it.

Upcoming fixtures...Newport County. Have a look at tyeir manager pic pic.

And also the emblem of Yeovil. I think it was Grimsby.

Newport showed nothing against us. Had one pot shot from distance that was a complete gift and then they just shut up shop.

There was no way they would have won that game without that howler.

I thought they were well organised, but a poor side and we were victims of our own downfall rather than it being down to anything Newport did on the day.

Just watched the highlights of Newport v Crewe. Newport seem to play the long ball game, aided by a long throw in, All aerial stuff, Just look a bunch of scrappers - and yes, I remember them as Otis does above.

At the time, Newport were the worst team I've ever seen.

We totally dominated everything but got dragged down to their level.

Yeah they do most games, the Grimsby game was really good but some games It keeps
buffering and can be annoying, not complaining though ‘when it’s good it’s good

Shouts 1-1 - they are good at home, and have just lost there iirc so not likely twice to do so. They are the kind of rough tough side we have struggled against. But they have also just slipped away from the play offs so may not be quite up for it
Unfortunately we are at the stage where there is so little room for error that a win is essential. Incidentally further to comments earlier in the week, is Vincenti fit?

they've drawn 3 in the last 5 and though I'd obviously love a win I'd settle for a draw.
