The first "advice" I was given when I started playing football was ".... never pass the ball across your own penalty area"
Me too!

Again, the players changed but the system didn't.

What he is trying isn't working, it's just us giving them the ball back everytime we get it to invite them to come at us.

Brown, Shipley and Sterling awful. Bakayoka pointless, even if he was onside hes just running about chasing lost causes on his own against their defence. Bayliss not in the game at all.

Doyle and Ogogo getting bypassed every time.

Looks like we are setup not to lose, nothing like the passing football we started with on Saturday. Might be why he started Biamou today.

Considering only McNulty left in the summer, what has happened to this team? It's like they've all forgot how to play some passing football. No creativity, no movement up front, nobody holds it up, no running down the wings.

Have a system that clearly isn't creative enough.

Very scrappy but this is definitely winnable.

Sometimes we try and be too clever going forward but the players don’t know each other well enough yet so don’t make the right run.

Last seasons memories of free flowing entertining football creating chances is now a distance memory from this crap. Wewill be lucky to score more than 10 goals or season with this shower.

Quality lacking in the game generally. We defended well in the middle, Hyam playing very well. Struggling down the flanks but that comes with playing wing backs I suppose. Mindful we've just come up I'd say we've done ok keeping them out. Bakayoko's offsides have been scandalous but he's won a few decent flick-ons.

Looks like we are screaming out for two up front and proper wingers but I suspect if we take someone out of midfield/defence we will concede.

We could swap Bayliss for a striker.

He is meant to be just behind Bakayoka but is nowhere near him.

I know it's early days, but we haven't seen much positivity on the pitch so far this season. I'm sure it will come, but it can be hard to remain positive when this slop is served up.

Blackpool are definitely there for the taking but we are creating next to nothing, hoof balls to an offside Bakayoko isn't working, we seem second to nearly every 2nd ball, Shipley, Brown and Sterling been terrible with the prize going to Sterling, cannot see a player in him, Thomas looks class but we have hardly used him, unless something is changed I can't see us scoring

Both sides have been poor and the hoofs towards Bakayoko are meaningless as he is either offside or incapable of winning the header. Thomas has been encouraging, would be nice to see us drop the long balls and use him more effectively.

I've seen us lose 3 on the bounce playing better than what we have this season, so that's a positive I guess.

Need to play some actual fucking football, these are wank

Has bakayoko won a header when onside yet?

Yeah a few, the one time somebody was near him it created a chance.

He isn't a target man, get it to his feet or in the channels and he does more with it. On Saturday he was better when he got the ball at his feet, has done it a couple of times tonight.

It's pointless hoofing it to him on his own with about 2 or 3 players of their round him and none of ours.

We played some utter shite football at times last season, it's still fucking August folks

Saves me providing my own summary. Spot on. That was even more frustrating than Wimbledon! What the hell were we thinking spending money on that useless tosser? Even the ‘give him a chance’ brigade must by now be losing patience. Woeful. Tactics are inept, players not performing and I see no correlation to the performance from
Saturday where we were actually half decent. What’s the game plan, smash and grab?

It's not been tactical long balls, we're just spanking it long hoping, often nowhere near our players and sometimes directly back to their keeper.

I'd give him a chance when he isn't having every ball aimlessly hoofed to him.

Exactly, not even looking up.

The striker gets the blame for it though. Same with Biamou, same when we did it to JCH.
