So what do you want ?
What can the Council do that will make SISU buy it for CCFC ?
So in other words this £2.5m is a number without any evidence. Sort of a 'fat bloke down the pub says that we're losing two million quid a year in Foleshill' kind of thing.
Sorry mate, but there's not much point in quoting figures like this to support your case. There has to be some attempt to prove it or it isn't really worth anything, imho.
Name a price for the lot would be a start.

I think this, amongst many reasons is why a protest at Council is worthwhile in conjunction with others
They should have just come out and said ages ago that they will make no comment until the conclusion of the JR. At least people wouldn't be left guessing.
There's some right wankers on here. Why get a bee in your bonnet because some are protesting against one of the parties involved in our sorry affair? 'I want to see the workings of this £2.5m loss for Foleshill'. What is wrong with you people? Idiots.
But SISU would own it. CCFC will never own the Ricoh under SISU.
It cost £112M to build it and it's now a running concern. Why don't Sisu come in at that for a start and work up?
.......... or do you think they need to get it for say £30M, bring back CCFC and hence increase its book value to recover their losses?
.......... or perhaps they have miscalculated ACL as a going concern (yes outmaneuvered by CCC with the loan) and the JR is now their only chance.
Got to admire your efforts on this but we just need to wait for SISU.

Your 100% certain that CCFC wouldn't own it?
Perhaps people just need to understand what will be achieved before they join a CCC protest.
I'm still confused.

Yeah right. Don't you like it when people disagree with you so you have to use obscenities? Big boy eh.
So I suppose we should only question the side that wants what is best for our city and citizens. The side that looks like is more interested in the long term future of our football club. Which is why they built a stadium for our club.
............. Yes

£2.5 million... you're havin' a laugh, made up number I'm afraid.
personally when I went to the arena I spent £4 only (apart from the ticket) & that was to park the car. No beer or junk food, primarily because when I went to the Ricoh I went to see a game of football.
Your 100% certain that CCFC wouldn't own it?
You could be right there. Timothy said our club wouldn't own the Ricoh. And he seems to struggle with telling us the truth.
The floor is yours I am interested to know how......

You're really not very astute, are you?
Obviously can only speak for myself. but used to go to about 10 games a season at Ricoh. Spent £10 in transport, roughly £20 in casino before and after game and about £70 on a hotel and food, all in Coventry. From me alone the city has lost about £1k this season
The problem with this protest for me is their aims aren't well defined. Its all well and good saying we want the council to speak with SISU but they've done that and their most recent statements have all said they are happy to listen to any offer from SISU, or anyone else for that matter. If SISU want to own the ground put a bloody offer in it's not rocket science. It's not like SISU are saying we're ready to make a deal but the council won't talk to us.
Now if they had spoken with SISU and received a clear indication of what they are prepared to accept then it may be worthwhile but at the moment it appears to be a protest that will change nothing if it's aims are achieved. The council talk to SISU, SISU don't make an offer and we're back to square one.
Where would CCFC get the money to buy it?
SISU will not buy it and give it to them as their investors would not allow it.
CCC would not give it too them as the public would not allow it.
Is there another option, other than a sugar daddy coming along ?
When was the last time that CCC/ ACL spoke to the club that wasn't via the administrator or FL?
Do CCC/ ACL recognise Otium as owners yet?
Obviously the owners of CCFC would have to invest money into the Club to purchase or convert the debt to equity and go for it via that way.

Robo, you want them to sell it to Sisu, you mean.
I think you're caught on the boundary there.
You are asking the vast majority of sane, common sense City fans to support you in a venture to sell the ground to a rapacious hedge fund?
After what they've done to us?
Beggars belief.
Earl Shanks, Derrick Robbins & co would turn in their graves at your madness.

You mean from the 180 degrees turn that they've already made from having to know about our Club paying 35 miles away?
I want them to sell it to CCFC.

Any photos of today's great protest?
I understand why people are protesting outside the council house even though it is a handful of people only I get it but the reason why it's a handful only is because it's mainly Sisu's fault we are where we are.
Yes blame on both sides sure I think we all get that but a rough percentage would have it at 80-20 though this isn't be all end all.
Where Coventry city play and what happens with ccfc in terms of everything is down solely to sisu. They have responsibility that they seen to shirk at all costs and blame anyone other than themselves for relegation and moving out of Cov. If we hadn't got relegated we would still be paying 1.2m a year most likely so relegation was to blame and this was sisu selling our best players and not investing in the playing staff.
It's up to sisu to pull their finger out. We all know they will never own the Ricoh at any cost. If they offered 100m I think ccc would reject it out of spite.
The solution will mainly depend on the JR as it all seems geared to this but even then I fail to see sisu winning and then they win and so what. Still Northampton next year waiting for subsequent appeals or further claims if sisu win. Doesn't really help.
The club can survive on low rent offers of 100-150k and that's a fact. The numbers have been done clearly to show this but sisu won't get money back and we all know they want Ricoh for nothing and sell on getting money back.
Make or break summer.
This is spot on.
Can anyone explain a good reason why CCFC would not rent the Ricoh at £150K while they build a new stadium, other than SISU want the Ricoh for less than it is worth to recover their losses ?
