So what do you want ?
What can the Council do that will make SISU buy it for CCFC ?

Name a price for the lot would be a start.

So in other words this £2.5m is a number without any evidence. Sort of a 'fat bloke down the pub says that we're losing two million quid a year in Foleshill' kind of thing.

Sorry mate, but there's not much point in quoting figures like this to support your case. There has to be some attempt to prove it or it isn't really worth anything, imho.

That's not what I am saying, what I am saying is that you have any questions that need asking you need to be there to ask them. I am not the sort of person that will sit there and reel off 20 questions.

But SISU would own it. CCFC will never own the Ricoh under SISU.
It cost £112M to build it and it's now a running concern. Why don't Sisu come in at that for a start and work up?

.......... or do you think they need to get it for say £30M, bring back CCFC and hence increase its book value to recover their losses?
.......... or perhaps they have miscalculated ACL as a going concern (yes outmaneuvered by CCC with the loan) and the JR is now their only chance.

Got to admire your efforts on this but we just need to wait for SISU.

I think this, amongst many reasons is why a protest at Council is worthwhile in conjunction with others

They should have just come out and said ages ago that they will make no comment until the conclusion of the JR. At least people wouldn't be left guessing.

Lucas said ages ago that everything will be out in the open after the JR.

Selective memory won't change what SISU have done previously to us and our club. It won't also change the fact that they only want what is best for their investors. Having a go at CCC won't get SISU what they want. And it won't make them negotiate with CCC either.

Does anyone think that if it was even possible to hand over the Ricoh that our club would benefit?

There's some right wankers on here. Why get a bee in your bonnet because some are protesting against one of the parties involved in our sorry affair? 'I want to see the workings of this £2.5m loss for Foleshill'. What is wrong with you people? Idiots.

Perhaps people just need to understand what will be achieved before they join a CCC protest.
I'm still confused.

Your 100% certain that CCFC wouldn't own it?

How I feel about CCFC purchasing the Ricoh is something I would love to share with the people who run the Club and would be a lot easier than what we are currently going through..

Why should people not want a shred of evidence when something is stated as fact? To me £2.5m seems a very high figure, you'd be looking at around £10 per ticket sold with not a penny of that still being spent in the city. If a proper report has been carried out then why not publish it so everyone knows what is going on. If the figure is correct there should be now problem with showing how it was arrived at.

Yeah right. Don't you like it when people disagree with you so you have to use obscenities? Big boy eh.

So I suppose we should only question the side that wants what is best for our city and citizens. The side that looks like is more interested in the long term future of our football club. Which is why they built a stadium for our club.

£2.5M loss for Foleshill ?

What was achieved by 3 blokes shouting outside Sisu HQ at the weekend? Nothing, but everyone on here holds them up as freedom fighters or something.

Anyone who gets off their arse and does something is okay in my book, regardless of whether or not they actually achieve something.

Seriously, some of you lot need to take a look at yourselves.

It's not that people don't agree, but I get told one thing and most jump on it, questioning what I have been told. The only thing I would say is that if you have questions you should be there to ask them.

£2.5 million... you're havin' a laugh, made up number I'm afraid.

personally when I went to the arena I spent £4 only (apart from the ticket) & that was to park the car. No beer or junk food, primarily because when I went to the Ricoh I went to see a game of football.

Obviously can only speak for myself. but used to go to about 10 games a season at Ricoh. Spent £10 in transport, roughly £20 in casino before and after game and about £70 on a hotel and food, all in Coventry. From me alone the city has lost about £1k this season

The problem with this protest for me is their aims aren't well defined. Its all well and good saying we want the council to speak with SISU but they've done that and their most recent statements have all said they are happy to listen to any offer from SISU, or anyone else for that matter. If SISU want to own the ground put a bloody offer in it's not rocket science. It's not like SISU are saying we're ready to make a deal but the council won't talk to us.

Now if they had spoken with SISU and received a clear indication of what they are prepared to accept then it may be worthwhile but at the moment it appears to be a protest that will change nothing if it's aims are achieved. The council talk to SISU, SISU don't make an offer and we're back to square one.

You could be right there. Timothy said our club wouldn't own the Ricoh. And he seems to struggle with telling us the truth.

We can't be definitively correct, Italia maybe correct in what he says but how can we know? Whether Sisu owns the Arena or the Club does it will have the same value, but it would probably rise in value if it was owned by a well run, successful Football Club.

Where would CCFC get the money to buy it?
SISU will not buy it and give it to them as their investors would not allow it.
CCC would not give it too them as the public would not allow it.

Is there another option, other than a sugar daddy coming along ?

It's not that simple unfortunately which is why it would be interesting to see the full report. For example you have to factor in if the money stays in the city which is not the same as money spent in the city. If you spend £20 in the casino how much of that leaves the city and goes to Rank. Probably the only casino money staying in the city would be money paid to ACL, which as far as we know hasn't changed, and staff wages, is there any evidence to suggest staff have been laid off as a result of the club leaving? It's not as simple as saying I used to spent X amount and that has been lost.

When was the last time that CCC/ ACL spoke to the club that wasn't via the administrator or FL?

Do CCC/ ACL recognise Otium as owners yet?

Obviously the owners of CCFC would have to invest money into the Club to purchase or convert the debt to equity and go for it via that way.

Robo, you want them to sell it to Sisu, you mean.
I think you're caught on the boundary there.
You are asking the vast majority of sane, common sense City fans to support you in a venture to sell the ground to a rapacious hedge fund?
After what they've done to us?
Beggars belief.
Earl Shanks, Derrick Robbins & co would turn in their graves at your madness.

ACL made offers via the administrator, the correct business procedure, and then via the FL, at a guess to remove the possibility of SISU saying it had never happened. Last offer was around Dec 2013 I think. At the point the offer was made via the administrator Otium would not have been the owners.

CCC's last involvement would have been the Lucas / Sepalla meeting around November 2013. I think the last comment the council made was January this year when they basically said they were going to get on with running the city but that Lucas would to meet with SISU at any point to discuss the club returning.

I certainly believe there is blame on both sides but at the moment I really think it is up to SISU to make a move if they want to return.

Why is it obvious?

The time that SISU do tell us the truth is when it is bad news. It was bad news when we were told that our club wouldn't own it. They said that they will raise money for a stadium. Nothing about gifting money to our club.

You mean from the 180 degrees turn that they've already made from having to know about our Club paying 35 miles away?

I want them to sell it to CCFC.

How do you know they have not ?
For all we know approaches to SISU may have been ignored (as TF said they had moved on) and ACL/CCC felt that putting it through the FL would at least show they are trying.

When I heard the offer I thought Sisu would snap there hand off. However I also thought they would with the £400K and £150K offers.

I make an educated guess that no offer would be accepted by Sisu because they would not get their losses back if they were playing at the Ricoh.
As I have said before ..... we just need to wait for Sisu.

I understand why people are protesting outside the council house even though it is a handful of people only I get it but the reason why it's a handful only is because it's mainly Sisu's fault we are where we are.

Yes blame on both sides sure I think we all get that but a rough percentage would have it at 80-20 though this isn't be all end all.

Where Coventry city play and what happens with ccfc in terms of everything is down solely to sisu. They have responsibility that they seen to shirk at all costs and blame anyone other than themselves for relegation and moving out of Cov. If we hadn't got relegated we would still be paying 1.2m a year most likely so relegation was to blame and this was sisu selling our best players and not investing in the playing staff.

It's up to sisu to pull their finger out. We all know they will never own the Ricoh at any cost. If they offered 100m I think ccc would reject it out of spite.

The solution will mainly depend on the JR as it all seems geared to this but even then I fail to see sisu winning and then they win and so what. Still Northampton next year waiting for subsequent appeals or further claims if sisu win. Doesn't really help.

The club can survive on low rent offers of 100-150k and that's a fact. The numbers have been done clearly to show this but sisu won't get money back and we all know they want Ricoh for nothing and sell on getting money back.

Make or break summer.

We all want them to sell it to our club. But this won't be possible if they end up being forced to hand it over to SISU and their investors. And that is even if it would be possible to do so.

Bring on the JR. We will know more then.

This is spot on.

Can anyone explain a good reason why CCFC would not rent the Ricoh at £150K while they build a new stadium, other than SISU want the Ricoh for less than it is worth to recover their losses ?

Yes but italianhorse, most educated CCFC supporters have known this for a long time, probably the vasy majority of the 90% who don't go to sixfields

SISU don't give a toss about CCFC, it's just a means to an end.
