I agree with the others, out of our price range, wasn't he on near 50k a week at Villa??

Can we afford to pay £10k on a crock? Why not loan a striker like maccada from man utd and use the money elsewhere

Not saying that it is us or that we are in with a chance, we are not.

But can birmingham afford his wages? They aren't exactly rolling in it atm are they!

I'd love us to sign So Solid Carew, just so I could say "So Solid Carew" more often, but think its unlikely.

How much are the likes of Leicester and west ham paying their big signing.. £20, £30 grand a week ?

Hence the use of "he'd be on" & not "he is on".....

Not to mention the hefty signing on fee he can command now.

'Hence my point that he is earning 0 at this moment in time,

And an offer of around £10k p/w he would have to look at.

we can afford it as doyke was on like 8-10k a week and with no marlon and gunner and the 5 released players

So, Sky Sports suggest its Brum, with West Ham looking in, he is or until very recently has been on premiership wages, yet the op reckons it might be us.....

Trust me, we don't want Carew.

My stepson is a villa fan so I have had to endure them more than I would care to ove rthe last couple of years while I try to convert him from the dark side.

Carew is garbage! His legs have gone and in the times that I have seen him he has put in less effort than Eastwood.

It would be a big mistake as he would feel that he has nothing to prove in the Championship and would just stroll about and pick up
his wages until the club get peed off with him and farm him out to the next mug club to come along.

If he was any good, Stoke would have wanted to keep him!
