I think the biggest issue will be use of the bathrooms.

The initial approach isn't unchecked, it's just been slowed a bit. It is still the strategy, flatten the curve not eliminate it.Yeah it definitely is concerning. It's interesting as scientists/researchers/clinicians have hypothesising for months whether antibodies may not be long lasting or be the answer to squashing the virus. This was one of the reasons why the WHO were up in arms about the prospect of the UK pursuing the herd immunity tactic, as not only would it likely cause hundreds of thousands of preventable deaths but there was no evidence at the time to suggest that it would successfully muscle out the virus whatsoever.
Whilst the UK hasn't appropriately managed this crisis at all well, the latest findings show how devastating the situation could have gotten if our government's initial approach was left unchecked.
I know the reason, pretty sure it's down to an issue with the private labs being able to share data into GP systems. It should be fixed now but will obviously be incomplete.Proper shite from Boris Ladd again, no answer to why Leicester and other LA's are not getting up to date pillar 2 data.

Definitely right to go with deaths. The testing data seems to be all over the place and when they won't release the number of people actually tested its virtually impossible to draw any reliable conclusions from the data they do publish.
Do they publish the number of people admitted to ICU and / or hospital? That might be a useful indicator, assuming the underlying data is solid so you can split out covid-19 cases from everything else.
Frustrating thing is, based on the trends, they probably only needed a couple of weeks more, anyway.829 cases
