Are we back onto trying to gang up to people who went to the pub while it wasn't breaking any rules while ignoring the tens of thousands of people lining the streets breaking guidelines and queuing up for shops?

Meanwhile groups of people were scrapping over a packet of pasta or bog roll.

To be honest, I went with the missus and we went to an (empty) restaurant afterwards. Not knowing how things would work with takeaway or when they’d reopen it didn’t seem unreasonable. Have been a good boy ever since though.

With hindsight I wish I'd have gone to the pub that night and played football before hand.

"People need to eat"
"People need clothes"
"People need to protest"
"People need to rave"
"People need to celebrate"
"People need to buy trainers"
"People need to fight over groceries"

Don't go to the pub though, you just want to kill OAPS and are selfish. It's all Dominic Cummings fault.

All led by people on TV pushing an agenda, ironically one of them still went for a round of golf and forgot about social distancing while praising his son for standing in amongst thousands of others.

Haha David will say that the protests are allowed with thousands of people yet a drink in the pub shouldn’t be

What Dom is too simple to realise is that by going to the pub when he was advised not to, and by opening up the pubs when it's not safe to do so, just increases the likelihood of a longer and/or second lockdown, and we know how much he hates lockdown.

What about the hundreds of thousands of people across the world gathering? What about city fans congregating? What about the queues for shops? What about the antics in the super markets?

This is all AFTER the rules changed and is breaking social distancing.

My confusion is how sometimes Corona is infectious and sometimes not. I haven't been in any large crowds since the start but if I had gone to the pub then I'd have been made out to be a murderer.

Took the dog to the memorial park yesterday. Thought it would be OK as people are going back to work and the weather wasn't brilliant.

Rammed full of large groups of teenagers making no effort to social distance. Getting pissed and taking nitrous oxide, leaving rubbish everywhere. I know parents can't watch their kids 24/7 but they must have some idea what they're up to when they come home pissed all the time.

Another U turn. They don't know which way they're facing.

It's good that they have U turned, but it doesn't look good on them does it, constantly getting it wrong, and constantly being forced into U turns - first by the leader of the opposition and now by a bloody footballer.

Rashford for PM.

What made it worse before the U turn it had gone public that the Tories had whipped their MP’s to NOT change it.

Kinell..still going?

I’ve been furloughed since the end of March.

Florida fired the official Covid-19 desktop inventor because she wouldn’t fudge the numbers to support the (Republican) Governor’s reopening plan. And even though the numbers are dubious, the cases have spiked to record levels after reopening.

This isn’t the survival of the fittest, it’s the survival of the smartest. I just got a work from home job back in IT.

Covid has exposed selfishness beyond measure. Quite frankly, there is no going back to normal without causing more deaths, and I‘m doing all I can to make sure that none of them are on me.

I‘m making a new normal.

It’s not a new strain, a new Coronavirus. Covid 19 never went away and opening up has raised the R number again pushing it back into pandemic. Could have just as easily happened in a primark.

Speaking of R numbers:
The estimated coronavirus “R number” range has risen above one in parts of England, the government has confirmed.
The rate of transmission for Covid-19 is close to the point where the disease could start to spread out of control in every region in England.

Official figures released yesterday revealed the R value number, which shows the reproduction rate of the virus, was close to 1 in all parts of the country.

I think things like this are far more likely to be the answer than a vaccine. If we can treat it effectively and cut the deaths to something in line with other things such as flu then that might allow things to start returning to normality.

You'd still need a larger testing capacity with a faster turn around and working track and trace but other countries have managed those so, even though we are way behind other countries in those areas, we should be able to get that up and running eventually.

Said the same yesterday with similar news about treatment for blood clots in Covid patients. Given we’ve been trying and failing for decades to find a successful vaccine for Coronavirus our best hope is effective treatment. That’s two bits of good news with regards to the advance in treating it in as many days. Interestingly in Sweden there was never a 100% consensus for heard immunity amongst its scientists and the counter argument was always regarding treatment and advancement in it, they were saying that if you caught Covid today you’re chances of survival will be better than if you had caught it two weeks earlier simply because we’re still learning about it. Over 6 months now since this started and we’re still making big advances in treating the symptoms.
