first tory MP breaks rank to call for Cummings to go.
More lining up to go public is the part time PM doesn't take action apparently.

Why? When other people have been forced to resign from government jobs for less and normal.people have not been able to go to things like funerals?

You like a bad take on current affairs but this is the worst yet.

Interesting interview with Steve Baker.
He said that privately fellow Tory MPs have been critical of Cummings, (lets see who goes public).
What he did reveal, which was surprising, is that if Johnson sacks him he expects a lot of resignations. Sounds like there are strong pro and anti Cummings factions within the party if what he is saying is true.

The political move would be for him to quit now, then come back in a few months, wouldn't it?

I see that the ludicrous windbag Piers Morgan has predictably tried to make the Cummings story all about himself.

Ernie lad did you get that list of councils that were not going to open their schools on the 1st of June? See anything in common with Tory Essex and Solihull and Liverpool and Manchester?

Oh yeah the boycott China movement? Oh was that going?

I think it's going to be very easy for the opposition to paint a 'one rule for the Tory hierarchy, one rule for everyone else' narrative while he's around, even if he leaves and comes back.

I dunno, he wouldn't be the first to do that trick, and he's not even an MP.

22 days of dither and delay on coronavirus that cost thousands of British lives | News | The Sunday Times

Paywalled to fuck but I see that radical campaigning left wing newspaper The Times is going beyond just savaging the Government and its handling of the pandemic crisis

that's 4 this morning. (Edit - it's now 5).
It's almost as if people were just waiting for the chance to put the boot in on a man who has hubris dripping out of his pores.

He’s up against the enemies he made on his climb up the career ladder. They now have enough rope to hang him.

when you look into the history of the man it’s easy to see why- Boris must be shitting it as the last thing he needs is Cummings let loose with a grudge, he knows everything.

has anyone heard from or seen Boris, or is he hiding again?

yes you’re right- Marr is one of the weakest interviewers out there, he’s terrible- he gives you a pasting and you’re either incompetent or you’re the designated fall guy.

At least the Cummings story distracts from the double counting tests deceit, which distracts from the app not working cockup, which distracts from the botched lockdown issue, which distracts from the NHS workers being deported & charged story, which deflects from the murderous care homes issue, which distracts from ‘herd immunity’, which ultimately distracts from the 60,000 deaths story.

It’s an impressive CV they’re building up, and they’re only 6 months in- imagine what they can achieve in 5 years

I think those line up with the time line of the second visit don't they? Turns out his mum had a birthday on the first visit and his wife had a birthday on the second. All a coincidence though I'm sure.

Laura K looks really shit off the back of those tweets.

I’ve tried to always give Laura K the benefit of the doubt but her adherence to the party line of chastising the professor while putting out the excuses for Cummings has left her bereft of credibility and up for an impartiality review.
