Our school has now been closed as we have a confirmed case of someone (Don’t know if staff or student) in the building whilst it’s been open for key workers kids. We’ve had approx 6-8 kids a day with 2/3 staff out of a school of 1300 and we haven’t been able to keep it at bay.

How on earth does anyone expect schools to open right now.

Out of interest, what on earth happens to the key workers and their children now? Do they all have to isolate?!?

Why do we need the app if we’ve got the tracers? You’d have thought 10k cases/day would be enough.

Bit confused on that one.

No the government have admitted it doesn't work yet. You've replied to a post where someone else linked to the government admitting this.

What baffles is me is that the country that’s top of the European death charts is talking about quarantining visits from countries with hardly any, that in return are offering to allow UK visitors no quarantine.

Read the story and a few lines in say the US are keen to make a deal. If you're letting the US in the whole thing becomes meaningless. Highest number of cases, highest number of deaths - come on in!

And if I was another country I'd have us on the banned/isolation high risk list

Shows how much Greece needs tourism for its economy. Ignoring that I mainly just want my holiday there to go ahead, the risk is all on Greece in letting British tourists in and it would be an easy and risk free PR win for the government.

As they’ve all been in ‘contact‘ with the person infected they all have been told to self-isolate.. staff and students (and I guess their families too)

We haven’t been told the details but makes you wonder who contracted from who. If it was a staff member did they get from a child of a key worker? Or did child get from a staff member... or child to child....

What we need is some way to track the movement of the virus...

On a slight tangent but relevant if anyone was still in doubt that the plan is to roll over and have our tummy tickled by the US a motion to outlaw chlorine washed chicken in future trade agreements was defeated. I think that says a lot about whether we intend to stand up for our own standards.

He was a bit better than last week but still got owned.

If they let it go back to the braying mob it'll be a travesty and show it's got nothing to do with accountability. I'd be quite happy for there to just be a weekly televised meeting between the PM and opposition leader with no-one else present. Then PMQ's can be used for all the fluff and constituency stuff.

Even better once a month with the PM facing questions from the public.
