It’s the history of this virus type. Swine flu, bird flu, SARS etc etc. They all started in the human race when they jumped from another species by either consumption or close contact to the animal through farming or preparation of the dead animal for consumption. Vets who work with cattle, slaughter men and farmers in this country on a fairly regular basis catch bovine TB for instance. It only has to mutate once in the right/wrong direction and we have a new strain of bovine TB that’s contagious and deadly to humans becoming a worldwide pandemic. If that starts in the U.K. and the government take the same lame response as they have with this pandemic should the world sue us?You have any evidence on this?

A quick look through Google suggests there's no mechanism in international law for suing a country responsible for a pandemic. if the States pursue it it will just be down to geopolitical cock waving.

Actually there was plenty of evidence of coverups at every level from farmers trying to hide it, slaughter houses trying to hide it, inspectors failing to follow procedures properly in an attempt to hide the severity and according to the conservatives who were in opposition at the time the coverup went all the way to Tony Blair. Too many people seem to be using the virus to push forward an agenda instead of considering the consequences of the virus. Tens of millions of people minimum are going to lose their livelihoods. Many of those already struggling will end up in a really bad situation. Many of those doing well will suddenly be in the shit. Untold billions are being thrown at the problem in the UK alone and it won't be enough. But I think we will be better off than most. Worldwide people will be skint. No job no prospects.
Then consider how many buy from China. Or look at countries that depend on motor manufacturing like Germany. What can they do to keep it going?
Life is changing forever. And how we deal with it should be the only agenda.
