Realistically and sadly the mortality figures today are no surprise, expect them to rise offset 10 days or more against the number of cases. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Yes I agree but you could catch it by unprotected sex, (the only feasible way human life can be sustained) without your partner knowing they were infected, and early on that meant a death sentence not a 7 to 9 in 10 chance of getting through it. I take your point though, about how each virus can be transmitted.

The one failing we did is not maximise the benefit of being an island. I guess through sef have breached EU rules if we banned movement?

Time for sports direct to be slaughtered. Many products that could be used indoors have been hiked by up to 50% online!!
Are there any worse companies with a track record for dubious behaviour?

No they didn’t until they had a unilateral agreement which was far later - free movement did not stop until March

Today's figures out here have shown an increase again after 2 days of decreasing.

Just had a call to tell me my sister has it now, she works for the NHS.

Over 11500 ex NHS staff are returning. Absolute heroes, every one of them.

Excel arena being turned into a 4000 bed hospital, helped by the military.

NHS looking for 250,000 volunteers.

I've been looking at this recently in terms of plane crashes and deaths. How many planes crashes a week in the UK would it take for you to be concerned with flying etc.

It's starting to get to that level now.

The farming industry put out an appeal today for 80,000 British workers to step in as replacements for EU seasonal workers who aren’t coming because of Coronavirus so clearly it’s made no difference. Plus as others have pointed out other EU countries have already done it. Interesting insight into life after Brexit. Still I’m sure the gammons will be lining up to work the land.

Yeah I think it’s a possibility, unfortunately. As I’ve said though, they count deaths as though died with coronavirus, not just those who died from it.
Apparently the number of test is going to be ramped up as well, which could also impact figures.

Polls show Americans approve of Trump's handling of things so far. Biden is just hiding saying and doing nothing as this unfolds while the guy his mates rigged the election against has just raised $2 million for relief.
