It’s nonsense so I assume the same applies to:

cafes
Takeaways
Taxis
Buses
Supermarkets
Holiday homes
Hotels
Sporting events (I guess anyone buying a season ticket and not vaccinated will not be allowed in)

I’ve heard nothing to say it will be law ie it would be landlord, club owners choice. After the shit 12+ months of trading I can’t see many wanting to risk losing custom but enforcing this. As mentioned earlier this feels like a nudge to try to get as many vaccinated as possible

My initial thought was it won't happen as it's unworkable, impractical and a legal minefield.

Then I realised its an opportunity for the tories to award another multi billion pound contract to their mates so it will probably happen.

Its certainly being looked at seriously for concerts.

No way the likes of Ticketmaster and Live Nation are putting a significant amount of money into updating their ticketing apps to link with public health services to show if people have been vaccinated or had a recent negative test with no intention of them being rolled out if needed.

Talking of unworkable authoritarian nonsense, whatever happened to Theresa Mays Wank Pass we were supposed to have to buy from the corner shop to access internet porn?

Some have. I think its touch and go whether they'll happen.
Between myself and my son we've had 3 gigs cancelled in the last 2 days. The cancellations are getting further and further into the year.

They have, but selling tickets doesn't mean it will go ahead. How many events have been postponed or cancelled over the past year?

I've got a ticket for one in June which I'm 99.9% certain won't go ahead and another for September which I would say is 50/50 at best.

They're clearly not chucking money at developing what I would think are relatively expensive and complex apps in the knowledge there is zero chance of them ever using them.

After a year of no concerts how many non-vaccinated people would refuse to go to a show rather than take a test? Potentially simple market forces at work, would the number who would not go if they believe there is a risk of it being a 'super-spreader' event be greater than the number who wouldn't go if they had to give proof of a vaccine or test? Hence that people who regularly go to shows are being bombarded with surveys on the subject.

By no means am I saying it will definitely happen but its madness to think these conversations aren't taking place and all options being looked into.

At the end of the day we're all guessing how any sort of vaccine passport would work. Is this another case of something being thrown out there to see the response before the government decides what to do?

There’s always been the argument that they should vaccinate those most likely to spread it first. There is actually sound scientific evidence and history that it would work too. I think it’s how they finally irradiated small pox in third world/developing countries, vaccinated those most likely to spread it first.

Sorry about that, thought I'd stock pile them and sell on at an inflated price. Visit my eBay store for more details.

What's the name of the company beginning with P that Cummings brought in and is now all over NHS data? The vaccine passport stuff is an earner

Well I think every decent person will think it’s an absurd and ridiculous idea so let’s make sure that’s the feedback they get.

The trouble is, most people won’t even begin to think through all the possible contradictions and repercussions that are likely to stem from this latest ridiculous brainwave, which sadly is just the way the Government likes it.

They get round this issue by not making it law but linking it with your licensing objectives and obligations, so by not complying you will not break the law but you will lose your license.
They hate pubs and are using the pandemic as a weapon to beat them with, there is not one other scenario where they could go after pubs like this without causing uproar.

Boris has said that the passports for pubs would only be workable once every adult has ‘at least’ had the chance of the vaccine, so far from being back to normal ‘pubs will actually be under far more scrutiny after the vaccine rollout than any other sector has been during a full on Covid19 wave.
This is undoubtedly an unprecedented effort to kill off pubs using the pandemic to hammer the nails into the coffin lid.

Yeah it's just typical Johnson, mouthing off an idea before thinking if it's remotely practical. It won't happen.
