I don't get why, after a year when we should understand why we should all work to benefit one another, we seem reluctant to embrace *anything* from this!
I don't really have a problem with masks in public, and I reckon I don't get within two metres of my wife when we're out(!) I don't understand the issues!

I like seeing people’s faces for a start. We seem to be forgetting that we have lived with infectious disease for our whole existence as a species-deciding to permanently cover half our faces and avoid contact is not what I want to sign up for.
That and it will make my job harder for even longer

My only concern is that it ends up weakening our built-in resistance to infections. Not being a medic, I couldn't really answer how / if it would do that, and for how long however. I'm sure I could Google, but...I mean, my mask covers less of my face than my beard

No, the answer there is to make people feel like they don’t have to come in even if they aren’t well enough by offering fairer SSP.

Expecting people like me, who get five sick days a year, to take one when I’ve got a bit of a sniffle is frankly ridiculous. And doesn’t account for self employed and others with non financial commitment.
And we’ve been dealing with disease by continually making small improvements in prevention and cure. That’s what this is. You could make the same argument you just have about vaccines. It’s just not realistic.

We will all get a booster every year, we will also likely have to have restrictions at certain times. The virus mutates much quicker than flu, and already studies have shown that the astra zenica vaccine fails to protect against the South African variant, which could rip right through us way before the booster is rolled out.Oh I see. You should be entitled more sick days. And if you have ‘just a bit of a sniffle’ then chances are what you’ve got won’t kill anyone. So you probably don’t need to cover half your face or run away from anyone within two metres.
I'd have thought all these Brexiteers would be desperate to give their cash to good, honest, British holiday destinations rather than evil, dribbling Europhile ones, anyway...
