how can a bloke his height be a sole striker?

That was the point of my post; it explained two ways in which I believe he can play as the lone striker.

Adam Armstrong did it in the same system in this league. Sergio Aguero is one of the best strikers in the world, has often played as a a lone striker and is only two inches taller than Chaplin.

It’s all about the type of football we play, and the three (and to some extent five) behind him.

It’s not 7.30am yet. He’s a young footballer. Give him time he’s probably still in a night club or with a floosey.

So last night I took it upon myself to look through and find out how many minutes Conor had played in his 104 games at Pompey .

When broken down he has scored 22 goals in 40.22 matches .
Looks a decent addition if we get him

After 69 pages of thread it would be hilarious if he signed for Barnsley last minute. Well, it wouldn’t but it would

When this thread started....
1) England were due to play Sweden in the World Cup quarter final.
2) Roger Federer was still hoping to win another Wimbledon.
3) Tour de France yet to start. Geraint Thomas yet to win.
4) Boris Johnson was still Foreign Secretary!
5) The internet hadn't been invented.
........actually not sure about that last one!

Will this thread stop when he signs wherever he does or will it continue as a praise/hate speech shrine to him hurtling towards the big 100?

Six seasons and a movie!

Even if Barnsley make a higher offer to Portsmouth for Chaplin it will still be the lad's decision
Two clubs made higher offers to Dagenham for Jodi Jones but he preferred to come here as he knew Tony Mowbray trusted young players
This is one of the occasions where the player does have power
