I'm the opposite. If it was going to fall down there have been plenty of reasons for it to have done by now. That they're still talking is a good sign and maybe even that they are working on something more than a simple rental. I would have thought so too Clint. The Fixture list is published on 20th June. I presume the EFL will be working on the assumption that we are playing at the groundshare (i.e. to mesh with the host team's fixtures, policing constraints, etc), which can then simply be moved back to the Ricoh if the talks reach a successful outcome.I wonder how long the fixture list takes to compile.

Couldn’t the club be creative here and say - buy a season ticket now regardless of ground and it’s £150? Would get money in early - and it would be a tempter for people to go to St. Andrews
I dont think it really works like that unfortunately, maybe if we actually made money from drinks/food etc then you could see them try something like that. Most clubs our size have a core fan base that buy season tickets the rest is a gamble, would doubt we would double the uptake if we halved the priceIf we sold 5,000 @ £300, it would be £1.5mil. 10,000 @ £150 would be the same, so more bums on seats and same income. Makes sense to me.

Part of the Bradford model is to fill the stadium and then make revenue from food/drink /parking etc which is something we haven't been able to take advantage of.Even with a groundshare I'd be reluctant to drop the price by such an extent as it sets a precedent when we move back to the Ricoh. More crucially, I also don't think it would effect the gates that much.
To put it into perspective, I've spoken to a number of Commercial Directors about Bradford's season ticket offer and they say it's a very poorly thought out decision from a financial POV as once you drop the price of ST's it's very difficult to put them up again without causing fan unrest. For instance, at Bradford's price level, even if they got to the Championship or higher they'd still be forced to have the cheapest ST in the EFL as they've set that precedent. Great they have loads of fans but their low-cost season tickets are actually costing them a pretty significant amount and as a result their profits are limited.

I’m actually personally against the Bradford model - I’m talking for like 3 weeks then when the stadium is confirmed the proper ticketing strategy comes into place

Out of interest can anybody remember what the price was at Sixfields?
That's the obvious approach. We don't clash with any other EFL clubs when playing in Coventry so switching back to the Ricoh doesn't create any problems. After all, we came back from Sixfields only two or three games into the season.That's the point i was trying (inelegantly) to make. Agreed!
