Did you put that idea to the Club or did you hope that they'd see it on here?
I am not sure many asked for the South Stand to be closed as it was not the direct issue, the issue was closing the CT Stand which in turn by opening it up again reverted to the old process of closing the South Stand.
Are you being serious? If so I suppose you contacted the club to say that they shouldn't close the North stand but should close the South stand instead.
I love away games. One of the main reasons is that the banter can be a good laugh. It is normally easy to get a seat near our opponents supporters. I prefer to go behind a goal. The best atmospheres are normally behind a goal. But now for a home game I will not be able to go behind the goal and close to the away supporters. Singers corner can be a good laugh. But will it be the same if our supporters end right next to where we would be sitting?
Football is entertainment.....allegedly. Give people what they want and they are more likely to attend. Take away what they want and you take away what they want at a day at the football. Safety committee? Nothing to do with them as they closed the North stand and left the south stand open. Closing top rows and keeping the rest open would let everyone sit in what stand they want. Only those that want a seat at or near the top would be unhappy. And when the demand is there they could open a row at a time to accommodate us.
Several on here say that we only turn up when it is a fiver or tenner a game. Maybe so for many. But for thousands of us it isn't the case. I am one of those. The ticket price for me is only about 10% of what it costs me to go to a game. All I want is a ticket in the stadium where I want to be. If I am forced to go where I don't want to be and there are two games that week with one being away....and my shifts would allow me to go to both I would go to the away game.
