It’s different for Lampard because he’s a club legend there (meaning he’ll always be linked when they have a vacancy), but any potential manager should look at Maresca’s exit at Chelsea. Whatever went on was so bad Maresca didn’t even discuss exit terms with them and turned down the massive amount of money he was due (most likely it would’ve stopped him getting other prem jobs)

No control over recruitment, maybe even style of football too, yet it’ll all be on your head when it goes wrong. They’ll never succeed under Boehly unless he gets serious help in.

Sign his Contract, get a huge fee off them, nah they're just angling to finish above us next season, classic disruptor strategy, don't know their arse from their elbow!!.
Exercise in instant gratification,
Keep dishing out the lessons Frank!! next the World!!

Why would getting the chelsea job make him not a serious manager

Because he’s been there twice already - when he leaves again what’s the next club he goes to going to ask other then will you go back there again?

He won't be going back there ,I suspect Chelsea will go for an elite coach like the German national manager.

Can’t see them giving him a 3rd go, but it’s his club if he‘s offered it can’t see him saying no

Let’s face it, if they want him, he’s gone. Just got to hope they don’t want him.

Agree. He’s not staying at Coventry city if Chelsea want him. Anyone thinking he is needs to give their head a wobble.

Well, there goes any chance of a nice, relaxing post season. It's going to be wall to wall rumours now, I suppose....

Lampard done the Chelsea saviour thing already and it nearly ruined his career and reputation.

He's a smart bloke and realises that he has to forge his own path as a manager and that'll include a Premier League season with us.

It won't be Frank. Iraola would be way above him in the pecking order. If it were Liverpool, or Man Utd, Frank would barely be in the conversation.

I like the idea of that, but Chelsea is his club. He wouldn’t turn it down in my opinion. Just like Wilder and Sheff Utd.

No serious club would ever touch him again if he went there for the third time.

Fabregas was rumoured to be off from Como about a week ago, don't know if that was linked, Dennis Wise links somehow I'm hoping?

I think he is smart enough to know he was at a bit of a reputational crossroads when he joined us. And he is not fully earned a top job yet. Here he can grow with the club, have a good relationship with a savvy owner. There he's be taking his 3rd swing at at possibly the worst time. The owner is clueless and trigger happy, the squad is bloated and lacking real effort. No point risking the good work he's put in here to be dropped into that.

If he does well here for another year, picks the right next role he'll be a shoe in for England manager in a few years

Poisoned chalice at Chelsea.

If Frank went back then all my respect for him would be gone in a heartbeat.
