Definitely more than 100k on the march, I've seen figures as high as 3 mill, which looks like an over estimate, I could imagine 500k from the pictures and videos I've seen.

WTAF you on about. It was a flippant reference to an earlier post to Grenners, and demographics of the people of Sevenoaks.... hopefully not being keen on that horrible nasty woman appearing in their town.
It was not meant to be serious point and sure plenty of people in Sevenoaks went to watch her (sadly)

Bullsh!t again from Dom. Did no such thing. I just mentioned putting the video of the police woman out in her pain, could be distressing and uncomfortable for some, her included in her recovery. I accepted why it was done and that she probably gave permission. Move on Dom.

It's funny, I was doing the same earlier today and if you compare the unite the UK rally to arial footage of the solidarity with Palestine rally in 2023 I wouldn't have said it's not all that dissimilar in terms of numbers at a first glance. The Met estimated around 300k were in attendance for that.

But perception of numbers is so deceiving it's difficult to make even a reasonable guess from footage at that height.

They measure the area and make a reasonably accurate estimate based on crowd density.

Then they tell the Home Office the numbers and release a number to the press that is probably factored by 2 for causes supported or divided by 2 for causes that are unapproved.

However, possibly there are algorithms these days to count heads and my understanding is out of date.

Back to the subject, who posted up that post on here from some other that turned out very prophetic, probably in the Trump thread?
Kash Patel has said there's a couple of tweets and there was something written that has now disappeared.

It depends which way you want to spin it. 890 pro palestine demonstraters were arrested on 7/9/25, from the outside it does seem like the left are much more violent and not willing to listen to other points of view. Just take all the stop oil lunatics causing criminal damage and attacking army bases.

I think in general people are seeing now that not all those attending these Tommy Robinosn rallies are far right, the vast majority seem like normal law abiding people. It just the ones draped in union jacks swigging stella that seem to ruin it.

There is clearly a massive movement in the UK now to the right and this is why Reform will probably win the next general election.

Of those 890 arrests, 857 related to showing support for Palestinian Action, that is, holding a placard. Did you miss that bit, because it rather knocks the rest of your argument into a cocked hat.

In the meantime Trump and Vance threaten revenge on the "far left conspiracy" behind the killing of Charlie Kirk (there's zero evidence of one), whilst ignoring the hideously violent attacks on his political opponents. Strange that, eh, it's almost like people make stuff up about left wing violence, whilst trying to ignore stuff done by the far right.

There's clearly a significant shift to Reform, no argument there - I don't think people are necessarily heading rightwards though, because other than unlikely policies on immigration Reform don't seem to have much else. It's currently a protest movement rather than a political party. Will people vote for reduced services and a privatised NHS when that bit of their offering becomes apparent? Maybe, maybe not.

In the meantime, the only people I see cheerleading for aggro, with calls to action like "violence is coming", seem to be on the right.

Not really, they were holding a placard for a terrorist group and the police were following the law. The people holding them knew what would happen but they decided to break the law.

If you think Reform are a protest movement I think your not reading the room. They are certainly a political party and look like they will assemble the people needed as they go along. Can’t see them being stopped to be honest.

Tyler Robinson appeared in front of a judge today. Investigators confirmed the following points:

1. Casing engraving meant the obvious rather than sarcastic references/insults used by the ‘gopher’ crowd. Specifically, ‘notices bulge uwu’ was a reference to being attracted to pre-transition trans woman rather as opposed to the theory that it was an insult used by the ‘far right’ online.

2. The Utah AG on record saying he’s become ‘more political, leaning left and more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented’

3. Said his dad was ‘pretty hardcore MAGA’ in texts to his partner post-killing as well as saying:

4. ‘I had enough of Kirk’s hatred… some hate can’t be negotiated out’

This is following reports that Robinson’s partner was cooperating with the authorities.

Frankly, as soon as the reports were leaked that the bullets had ‘anti-fascist and pro-trans’ carvings in them… it was obvious the killer wasn’t far-right. The cynics could reasonably argue it was ‘disinformation’ campaign to deflect violence from the political left/trans activists.

Gopher*

It’s a new term for me too. Apparently used to describe an acolyte of a guy called Nick Fuentes who is genuinely far right.

This is not a dig, but how old are you, may I ask?

The saying is "a week is a long term in politics." The next election is nearly FOUR YEARS away. Just wondering how much experience you have of elections over the years.

So much will happen between now and then. In fact, anything can happen.

I honestly believe that Reform will not get in.

They attract so many wrong uns and cast offs from other parties.

As soon as people realise that Farage cannot do what he says he can do, the wheels will start to come off.

He's already had to rein back on his daft "two week" thing.

He's so much hot air.

Anyway, that's by the by. Seem to be a lot of people now believing they are certain to get in.

Let's see where they are in the next 12-18 months. Then we will have a better picture

Looks like an AI summary that you've posted and I don't see anything in there which backs up you saying that he was a 'trans activist'.

People are itching for the motive to be some hardcore, deep seated political doctrine when all the evidence so far is that's not the case.

Evidence I've read points to it being something close to home and personal rather than him being a headbanging activist for a cause.

About as much talk about that as there’s been of the children shot in a school on the same day Kirk was killed.

Look harder, the texts between him and his roommate have published for all the news publications to sift over.

In terms of UK sources, the Telegraph are reporting this and some of the quotes used are from there. Definitely not an AI overview!

First link from the Telegraph talks about him using far right language - not something I'm accepting as gospel btw! Feels too simplistic.

and two other results I read from the Telegraph talk about him developing views sympathetic towards trans people recently.

It would be easier if you just posted the link you quoted. Still don't see anything that paints him as an activist in any article.

Don't we have to be open to the idea that his personal life nudged him to a different POV and with access to guns he did a horrific thing?

It’s awkward isn’t it when parents in USA have been convicted of their actions in allowing their children to commit murder.
I’m a little uneasy at how far this goes but surely there’s some element of blame

Why? It's a country where you can legally own firearms so many do, its within the law. His dad i'm sure taught him how to shoot targets or animals, why would he be to blame for him shooting a person?

I wouldn't blame the father, problem is the environment and laws that normalise guns as some kind of leisure activity that can be wrapped up for Christmas.

I know it's different over there, but if I bought my daughter a gun and then she killed someone, I would feel incredibly guilty and feel it was my fault.

I gave her the gun and she killed someone with the gun I gave her.

Natural thought process I would have thought.

Be different if he bought him a gun and it was kept on a range and the lad stole it or something
