You've also got to think about the differences between playing as a centre back in a low block and being told just to defend the penalty area and playing in the system we play, where you're likely to be far more exposed.
It’s ironically the perfect system for a partnership like Thomas and Kitching. Arguably hes the best young centre back in the division. Thats the going rate.Kept an eye on him to see what all the hype was about and it was fair to say (yesterday at least) he delivered. The figures being quoted of 8-9 million for a Championship centre back though are silly. I’d be disappointed if we put all our eggs in that basket and concentrated less on other areas of the team.
