Which all works in theory but Lampard’s summer 2025 window was Rushworth on loan, a backup RB and what turned out to be a backup CB.
You make an excellent point, whilst your squad depth was needed and Rushworth in particular was an excellent acquisition and essential to your success last season. Your January recruitment was also better than ours in terms of what you needed, the most influential IMHO weak point in midfield in particular was identified and Frank The Tank was perfect for that.

Our glaring problems were a finisher with good positional ability, followed by a goalkeeper. Others would have helped in the end too, but I don't hold anyone responsible for that as you can't predict injuries. Our 3 most creative players, plus their back up of sorts in Casteldine all getting lengthy injuries can't have been forecast, even if Sarmiento needing a good deal of time to build up his match fitness due to kicking his heels for an eternity was more obvious.
I can also forgive them not upgrading on Brynn; far less keepers come up for sale in January. But I still find not getting in the target man we needed a huge clanger; we already created the kind of numbers that would have any decent out and out number 9 going berserk with their goals tally?
To back this up, Lankshear had just hit our top scorer from all last season (Morgan Whittaker's) total in all competitions up until May...at Halloween.

If you look at a table even with just league goals of the top scorers for the Prem and all three divisions of the EFL together there's Lankshear and Collins from MK Don's 3 goals ahead of the next highest scorer of the 92 clubs and he has a greater goals per minute ratio than Haaland. With the way we play with who we have under Hellberg this always had a good chance of happening...Which makes the failures from the recruitment department back in January all the more head scratching tbh!

It's probably unfortunate for you that we didn't go up last time as that's a potential 6 points wiped off your season...However, it seems that in our absence our two nearest and not so dearest neighbours have instead picked up the baton of giving you gift-wrapped points (which we have no problem with whatsoever), so you won't miss those timely boosts from us too much!😁

West Ham have sacked Nuno no really a shock they should be leading the league easily with that squad.

West Ham, with the most stacked Championship squad of all time, already lost more home games than Super Frank did all last season. Not so easy is it?

Scott Parker - those “play the West Ham way” purists will love that

Parker is becoming a bit like Warnock the one teams turn to if they want to go up.

His football stinks though and I hope it doesn’t work for West Ham
